I listened to White Pony today for the first time in probably fifteen years. Good grief, what a fantastic album. Every single track is strong. Moreno is the Elizabeth Fraser of metal vocalists- he plays his voice like an instrument.

That tour was a highlight for me. Saw them at the State Palace Theater in 2000 with Incubus and Taproot.

Got a high five from Chino while crowd surfing right before I got dumped face first into the barricade .

I crowd surfed once, too. Once. Never trust a bunch of drunk and high people to get you safely back to the floor upright.

Yeah, no man. I got Adrenaline in middle school a couple years after it came it out. It's great for what it is, but their later stuff has so much more depth. Around the fur is the one album that I just don't really listen to. I like a few songs from it, but it never really grabbed me as an album. White Pony blew my mind in high school, and I've been listening to it ever since.

The top 3 that I listen to from start to finish are White Pony, Diamond Eyes, and Saturday Night Wrist.

Saturday Night Wrist is fantastic. I've been a fan of Deftones since middle school (mid 20s now) and while I love me some White Pony... I also love the news stuff (pre-Gore) like Saturday Night Wrist, Diamond Eyes, Koi No Yokan. Those three albums are what I listen to the most with a steady roto of White Pony and the rest.
