Serious question. In your opinion, what has O shown or accomplished to get the benefit of the doubt.

By the way, you did the exact same thing with Jimbo Fisher and Dan Mullen.

You can't be this stupid

Explain why O deserves the benefit of the doubt, he has not proven shite

Mullen took a histrionically bad MSU program and developed it a ranked program, at frickn MSU. They kicked our arse this past season

Jimbo has a national title and multiple 10+ win seasons

Come on

If O had a track record of success he would have some leash but considering his past performance, he doesn't deserve it until he proves otherwise. But you idiots continue to just label everyone a hater

Do you think there are 24 teams better than LSU? Not a chance.

Going out on a limb ranking the Tigers? Until Myles Brennan, Justin McMillan or Lowell Narcisse distinguish themselves, the Tigers still don't have a quarterback who makes a difference. They lost their best running back (Derrius Guice). Coach O was impressive in rebounding from the Troy loss to win nine."

We pretty much lucked into beating Auburn when they screwed up thinking they had it won at halftime and got cocky. That's it. That's the only decent team we beat last year.

So, I guess you think LSU went into the Auburn game with a solid game plan on offense and defense?

The coaching staff deserves a lot of credit for making the adjustments and keeping their players in the game. But, if Auburn doesn't let up, they win that game.

Can someone actually answer why coach O deserves the benefit of the doubt despite past performances. I have yet to see one answer

I keep hearing O deserves a leash like these other coaches but have yet to hear why he deserves it

It's not like I'm saying he can't have a good season. I just don't see why he should get the benefit of the doubt based on what we've seen so far and with the unproven offense as well.

Honestly, I think LSU is only included in this top 25 on name recognition and past recruiting.

Maybe not. but here's a few "reasonable doubts"
Malone, Gilmore, Locature, and Heron.
We were thin on the lines, the injury bug hit us, and our best QB couldn't throw the long ball.
We almost did well in spite of all that.
I think he deserves a little cautious optimism, but I want LSU to win.

We did pretty much luck into beating Auburn last year. I'm still trying to figure out why Gus stopped running the ball.

Should be ranked higher. There are not 24 teams out there better.

sometimes I am. However, if Auburn keeps up their game, they would have skunked us. Instead they decided to work on things and couldn't get restarted fast enough. They almost were able to salvage that game too if you remember right. I'm not saying we didn't help ourselves out, but Auburn did their part too.

Funny thing is, where would we have been if we had beaten Ms state? Auburn gave us a gift later in beating Bama but we had already squandered it by not being ready for the season. All the other teams pretty much have a new coach. A NEW REAL COACH. So our time was last year to be able to limp into a decent year. Which we didn't do.

yeah, beating Auburn was a major accomplishment. Auburn was a legitimate top 10, maybe top 5 team last year.

they lost four games

They also beat both national championship teams.

It was an elite win. Offset by some inexcusable losses.

Ok, LSU lost to Troy who lost to South Alabama. That logic works both ways.
