Use a 6th to move up and pray to the 2017 draft gods he's available.

158. CB Kevin Toliver (LSU)

in the 5th

quote:

197. C Will Clapp (LSU)

in the 6th

quote:

297. RB Darrel Williams (LSU)

in the 7th

That'd be a nice haul
DE - Davenport
WR - Smith
OL - Crosby, Clapp
CB - Toliver
RB - Williams

Too bad those 3 LSU guys would never happen, even though I think they all fit a need of ours

Toliver was a 5* recruit, really inconsistent but came on last year. Has the size and speed to be talented on paper, but has some baggage and mental/arrogance issues. Its purely a gamble, but he could end up being a 4th CB for us and has potential to be a solid starter if he gets his head on right.

Clapp is a solid C/G option, really will ride the bench and provide some depth. He has technique, but he doesn't have the raw attributes to be great. But backups just need to be serviceable and I think at this point finding a solid backup is the key..not swinging all out for a starter.

Williams is defined as a short yardage guy, someone we need considering Ingram and Kamara are definitely not it. He's pretty versatile, I think he's a phenomenal complementary RB in a 3-back system we always liked to keep.

I'm not sure what the deal with Tyrell Crosby is. Almost everyone had him as a 2nd round pick...maybe early 3rd at the worst.

Not sure why he's still available. Probably an injury.

You’ll catch shite because LSU. But the truth is a lot of saints fans are simply more familiar with the LSU guys.

I’ll say this...I think Darrel Williams is sneaky good. Wouldnt mind him late or as an UDFA at all.

Saints just haven’t been taking players like this lately
