I've been burned out since mid-Phase 2. I saw BP, but I passed on Doc Strange, Thor 3, and a few others. Last good MCU film that I really love was GOTG.

I guess it might be contrarian on this board to not like superhero movies. I'll give you that. Lots of people dislike them in real life.
It's just been played out.
Like Westerns got played out.
But I wouldn't mind if we dropped Comic-book movies for a time being and went back to Westerns now.
Every genre has an upswing and shelf-life...not every kid is going to continue to grow up reading comic-books with all the stuff that's on TV.
These are the Halycon days for that genre...it's never going to be better.
Because the real audience for this genre isn't kids...it's 40 year old comic book fans back when people read comic books and they take their kids. And the profits go through the roof...because you have family 6 and popcorn and drinks, etc.
There will always be that "family movie" that just rakes in dough.
It used to be Westerns, now it's Comic-book.

Not hating on them by any means, just not my cup of tea.

I'm with you. Comic book movies. Ugh.

I got tired of watching people in funny costumes throw balls of energy at each other to stop the evil genius/alien a long time ago. For the record, this doesn’t mean that I’m actually not tired of that. I really am.

I haven’t seen any of the relevant Marvel movies since Ironman. I definitely won’t see it in theaters(don’t really see anything in theaters outside of kids movies) and don’t really care about it at the moment other than the crazy amount of hype it’s gotten as a maaaive project. The scope of having so many characters in a movie is neat to me,even if Im in no hurry to see the actual story. I’ll watch them all including infinity war when my oldest gets a little older.

This thread seems like a circle jerk for people to complain about comic book movies.
Do people on the More Sports board post randomly how they don't care about football just to let people online know? Or people on Tiger Rant just randomly post about not caring about LSU?
Crap....they do.
Well shite, I guess go back to your discussion about how you don't care about discussions about a type of movie on a movie forum.

Eh im highly entertained by the comic book movies. Life is hard, tragic, dramatic, etc enough...give me action packed, turn your brain off, fun for my entertainment

I have no desire to see it. I don’t get it.

I'll agree with the OP. I think I got burned out on the superhero movies sometime around the Ironman 3 release. I think that one was the last one I saw in the theaters. No... Guardians of the Galaxy was the last one I saw in theaters. No... i didn do see the last Thor movie in the theater. I was a huge comic book fan when I was growing up too. I guess there are so many of them being constantly released I've been desensitized to them. I still enjoy them. I just wait until they are released to rent before I bother watching them.

You’re not alone. I can’t stand comic book movies.

I’ve never even heard of it so I don’t care.
I live under a rock though.
