They had a chance to be relevant. But they latched on to every nit picky, inconsequential, mildy inconvenient "injustice", which made people stop listening and ultimately caring about even the legitimate issues.

I was pretty liberal during high school. Gay marriage, drug laws, and the premise that government shouldn't intrude on our lives were my agreeable points I had with many true conservatives, libertarians. Nevertheless, the reasons why I became more libertarian are clear. I don't want higher taxes on the income I'll make out of graduate school. I don't care if you're gay, atheist, or transgender. But, when people demand obligations from me (higher taxes, proper pronoun usage, or preferential treatment towards people for their demographics), that is where SJWs lost me.

I still have many of those views. Nevertheless, my South Asian American background has taught me that excellence comes with grades, achievements, and contributions towards societies. It does not come with any synthesized identity. It comes with hard work. That is why I have rejected social justice warriors.

They use pure emotion vs logic for all thinking. Get into an discussion with one and it won’t be long before they start using personal attacks as a means of deflection.

I wish I could upvote this more than once. I am conservative but a fan of equal rights. Not better for you, me, or them.

The constant, mind-numbing, high pitched drone of the whining few caused me to finally turn a deaf ear to them.

SJWs are like bratty kids, all whiney and me, me, me. Most seem to be sociopaths and should be avoided like the plague.

So a social justice warrior is someone who wants social justice for all? Or does it mean something else?
Or does it just mean liberal?

Sounds like you grew up, this is the maturation process for most people, the brain damaged SJW are the exception but are still a very small segment of the population.
