Trying to help a friend out.

Female friend (no pics) going through a lot of family shite right now to the point that she broke down on the phone with me tonight and I've never seen or heard this woman cry in the ten years I have known her. She's the kind of person who doesn't ever ask for help, but tonight she did. And I have no where to direct her, all I know is that she would prefer to see a female therapist.

I realize people don't take this place very seriously and only expect a handful of honest replies, so for that, thank you.

Most people go into mental health to better understand themselves.

The honest response to this is...What health insurance does she have and can she cash-pay?

She has health insurance through her employer, not sure what it is. Can afford to cash-pay.

I would call Tanya Stuart. If she cannot help, she will send her in the right direction.

I know we are a gender fluid society, but “Bill” is still an odd name for a woman.

Dr Sura is good but he is a Psychiatrist, not a therapist. If medication is needed then maybe could be a reasonable option, but the OP is looking for a female therapist.
