We are aware that there has been an explosion at the Valero refinery in Texas City. Local Fire Departments are in route to assist with putting out the fire. No other information is available at this time. We will put out updates as they become available.

I was at Marathon outside the plant in my office when it happened. There was a huge boom followed by the building shuttering. Went out and said, it’s on the opposite side of the plant from our site, I’m out. Got out before they blocked the roads off. It was pretty bad up close. Our field office trailer is pretty close to it.
