I'd say women do it more often just because of the sheer fact that there many more women teachers than men.

I can generally agree with this but girls are pretty notorious for telling their "best friend" who promptly tells 10 of her friends.
I used to tell my oldest daughter that there was no difference in how far it would get around school, the only difference was the speed at which it would get around the whole school.

If it were male teachers it would be deemed an epidemic and we would have to "have the discussion" daily along with countless articles on the "rape culture on HS campuses".

No. Cell phones and social media have just made it easier to discover. I graduated high school in 91 and there were 3 female teachers rumored to be involved with male students. One was more than a rumor.

I'll buy this.
Do you believe that the rate of male teachers nailing girls is roughly equal to the rate of female teachers nailing boys(obviously......rate.......as in accounting for the fact there are more female teachers)

I've read about 10 or 12 cases and I see a pattern.
1. These affairs happen in Spring not Fall.
2. The women are generally married or have an adult boyfriend.
3. The women exhibit a 'little girl' personality. It reminds me of the 30 year old guy who still hangs out at the fraternity house he belonged to 10 years ago.
I have no idea if this happens more now than it did in the past but it sure hits the news more.

What I’ve noticed is the media and Fox in particular pointing out when the female teacher is married. Like her husband is the victim here. As if her banging a 14 year old wouldn’t be nearly as big of a deal if she were single. I’ve never noticed them doing this when the teacher is male. The double standard concerning this issue is absurd.

Probably pretty close, but my guess is it is more prevalent with female teachers. I'd guess male teachers are a little more cautious about it as it's much more taboo in society, but I can think of a few recent cases here in Alabama involving male teachers.

If men do it less, I think one theory could be fear of pregnancy.
Adult women have far more control over that situation than adult men with some 16 year old girl. (Let's face it.....very few of these people are likely breaking out the condoms)

I personally would like to find a way to go back to HS as a teenager to better understand why a teacher would bang me.
It's vital for me to make this research happen with as many hot young teachers as possible.

Here's a question.
Since we are all surmising here and really can't say for certain that we aren't seeing an escalation in this behavior or that it's roughly even between men and women..........a hypothetical.
If women are doing it more often than men and it's a new thing relatively speaking, what do we think could explain that? Is there something socially going on that makes it more likely?

Here's another scenario that I've seen a lot lately and it hasn't been brought up here yet...
Female teachers getting caught with females... happens in girls athletics more than you hear.
