Lets say I really do not understand the pit bull breed. I have two honest questions. 1. Please explain the female jogger who raised two pit bulls from puppies goes out on a run one day and is found dead. The pit bulls still were by her ravaged body when it was found. 2. Why does it seem that every time a pit bull attacks and kills a child the owner says something to the affect “she/he has always been the sweetest dog. Serious questions. Not trying to flame.

What don't you understand?

They are different from other dogs.

The attacks happen with other breeds, just less often.

Pit bulls should be bred out of existence. Sterilize them all.

That's because often, they are very nice and affectionate dogs. However, there is something inside of these dogs' mind that, on rare occasions, snaps them into the predator/prey mode and they unexpectedly attack. Also, you don't hear about them attacking grown men nearly as much as women and children.

Like I said really not trying to flame. Just hoping someone can point me to a link that explains the viewpoint.

Pit bulls are like guns...except guns don’t get up and kill people on their own

Well then who in their right mind would let these creatures around small children?

Pit Bulls have a conceptual link with pedophiles.

Would you like either next door to you?

They are the dindus of the dog world. He was trying to get into college before he committed armed robbery. Basically the same thing.

Serious answer, those dogs weren't pit bulls at all.

I would rather live next to a pedophile than a pit bull.

pits are great dogs. They need to be bred correctly and if you raise them right they will be a great dog for you.
