Vizio gets all the hate here but they just started an inventory clearance sale today. Worth a look

I've had a 60" Vizio for about 5-6 years and it's been a great TV.

you did say "plenty of budget"

a step down from the SONY is the LG OLED, worth looking into based on your budget. 2017 prices are being slashed to move inventory for the 2018's

Don't have an answer for you, but all my research for a 65" plus tv led me to Sony, and one OLED tv (maybe an LG?).

I have an old plasma tv with an awesome resolution, but it's so old it's time to be replaced (no usb or HDMI ports).

I'd appreciate any info you could pass on after you buy.

Probably not, but it looks good, and it's paid for.

Picked up my 55" LG OLEDB7 this weekend at Costco, so far this thing rocks, have not tried any 4k content yet, but the blacks are unreal.

On a 5 grand budget I'd definitely go for the x940e, could get for under 4 grand easily now
