injuries have a lot to do with that... sucks, especially when you consider how stacked the conference, even by SEC standards.

Still time to turn it around.

That's fine, we haven't exactly set the world on fire on the weekends either.

I figured that we would struggle with pitching but it’s really the hitting that’s the problem

. How many position players are gone from last year? They couldn’t hit shite the first part of the season.
What I did see was Pap started taking pitches “before the Kramer speech”.

Very true the struggled early and turned it around. I’m not giving up on them. Hopefully they can turn it around again

Being content with losing midweek games means you accept mediocracy.

We have no leaders on this team. Combine that with a coach that does get kids fired up equates to being mediocre

That's what I always liked about Cannizaro. He was always fired up.

Ochinko as a player was always getting the team fired up. Think he should use that same approach as a coach

The same exact thing was said early last year.

But I do agree things seem different this year

I’m not sure that’s really the issue. You think Josh smith is all this team is missing?

And I know storz and labas were hurt but you can’t really count on freshman pitchers anyway.

I get that we have a lot of injuries but I think the problems are deeper than that

right now we can't hit shite. every team has bad spots in the season and hopefully that's all that's happening right now. I disagree that we're a mediocre team because we have so much talent and potential.

basically all we're hitting right now is ground balls and cans of corn to the outfield. we need to snap out of that and starting striking the ball well. I have a feeling PM is going to shake things up soon.

All of our upper class hitters are slap hitters + the Jordans. The player with the most power is a head case. This just doesn’t seem like a team that is going to put up a lot of runs this year. But I hope I’m wrong.
