He probably lives in the 9th ward.

I feel bad for the 9th ward now.

quote:Well first of all, this explains your ridiculous comments about using per capita. You must not understand rates. Highest rate =/= highest total.
if Alaska is such a great place to live why do more people commit suicide there than any other state?
Regardless I would imagine that there are a couple of factors:
1. Mental health problems (including alcoholism) in the native population with limited access to treatment.
2. Largely a cold and sparsely populated state. So limited social contact and isolation could negatively impact mental health and with limited access to treatment and social support could make this more likely
3. With limited to no daylight for a significant part of the year, seasonal affective disorder is probably more prevalent, more severe, and has a longer duration. Again limited access to treatment and social support, could make suicide more likely
Of course, Juneau is a lot different than the rest of Alaska so the suicide rate of the entire state is a poor retort, especially considering the factors (and I'm sure more) that were listed above.

Google is your friend. Apparently, intelligence is not.
quote:Just in case it wasn't clear from Centennial's response, what you posted is literally saying that Alaska is part of the Mainland, which is why people refer to the contiguous US instead when referring to Alaska and Hawaii.
Mainland United States, as opposed to the Hawaiian Islands and to U.S. island territories in Pacific or Caribbean.
Unless you're trolling, by insulting his intelligence while misreading a simple statement that confirms his position, you've made one of the least self-aware posts I've seen on here. An impressive feat.

No. Good teachers make good schools.

One could posit, with at least some degree of accuracy, that outside of a legally constituted war, police action, or execution, et., that anyone committing murder is insane.
Obviously, I do not mean legally insane, I mean just unhinged enough from societal norms and empathy toward fellow human beings as to be willing to cause harm.
This guy is not going to be found legally insane. For one thing, he tried to avoid detection and capture.

9/11 was mass murder with the intent to terrorize the nation.

You’re a disgusting piece of shite.

quote:I would argue that funding isn't as much of an issue once you reach a certain level like we have here (curve linear; diminishing returns), as evidenced by the weak relationship between funding and outcomes. I think effective use of the funds is probably more important to increasing this relationship, and countering the diminishing returns.
And good funding

Why is this truly a shame?
Seems more like mass killer?
Seems more like mass killer?

quote:The FBI defines a Mass Murder as:
Seems more like mass killer?

murdering four or more persons during an event with no "cooling-off period" between the murders.
So this doesn't meet either of the criteria.

So it’s only terrorism if more than 2 die. I get it. Ole boy in Austen would’ve killed more if he’d been capable.....old boy who had bomb in his shoes didn’t kill anyone....is he not a terrorist?

9/11 was a violent crime?
Are you retarded?
No...a realist.....old boy in Austen was a terrorist as much as the 9/11 attackers....he just wasn’t as capable or well funded.....I know that terrorist is a synonym for muslim for republicans but here in the real world not so much
