Fence $400
Goats $400
It will look like a putting green in 9 weeks and will be fertilized.

You near BR? I’ll come cut it, I’ll plow it and plant it with sunflowers/millet and then WE can shoot the frick out of doves all fall on it

I don't think you're going to find a better solution.

Set up some skeet houses and a trap box.

Is a two acre field big enough to attract doves for a decent shoot or two? Not a dove hunter, but I assumed you needed a big piece of land or several small ones to be able to bump the birds around.

I think that if the field has plenty of feed, it's enough. Birds will pour in throughout the day.

Having my own little dove field would be awesome, I just think this is a little too close to some structures

In OP, you made it out like it was a grass field. That’s a thicket!!
My thoughts exactly. This is what everyone was imagining when you said pasture:

bush hog it once, burn it down with some roundup, and get someone to disc it for you, plant in yard grass of your choice and get a head start on your lawn.
I recomend centipede for this but bermuda would be fine as well.
Simply cut as required from there with the lawnmower of your choice as required.
