WASHINGTON, DC (March 17, 2018) – U.S. Representative Mark Pocan (WI-02) today extended an offer of employment to Andrew McCabe, the former Deputy Director of the FBI, so that he can reach the needed length of service after President Trump fired him just days before he was set to retire.
“Andrew McCabe’s firing makes it clear that President Trump is doing everything he can to discredit the FBI and undermine the Special Counsel’s investigation,” said Rep. Pocan. “While Speaker Ryan and House Republicans have become complicit in the President’s destruction of our democracy, we must do all that we can to ensure that the investigation into Russia’s interference in our election is completed and that future elections are safeguarded from these kinds of attacks.”
"My offer of employment to Mr. McCabe is a legitimate offer to work on election security. Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of American democracy and both Republicans and Democrats should be concerned about election integrity,” continued Rep. Pocan. “From Governor Walker’s outrageous voter ID laws that kept an estimated 17,000 registered Wisconsin voters from the polls in 2016, to Republicans in Pennsylvania gerrymandering a map to rig elections in their favor, our electoral systems are under attack. We must take serious steps to not only secure our elections from foreign actors like Russia, but also ensure that the American people have faith that their votes matter.”

How does this work? Does he not need to work his 20 years consecutively? And if not, what kind of fethed up policy is that?

It is going to be funny when all of McCabe's bad deeds are revealed and these morons are in record offering him a job.
Will make for great ads come election time.

It's amazing that the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility recommended that McCabe be fired for lying to the DOJ Inspector General which means he broke the law and now a swamp dweller that swore an oath to the constitution says, "meh, frick the law".

So this guy knows Trump didn't fire him right? Obviously this is theatrics. No way this can backfire when the OIG report gets released.

Very fethed up.
And shows how much the filth want to protect him and keep him from turning and providing info on the rest of the slime.

FBI Recommends Firing Former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe | National Review | An internal FBI office has officially recommended firing former deputy director Andrew McCabe over allegations that he lied to the DOJ inspector general

(2) The FBI Office of Personal Responsibility recommended that McCabe be fired.
_________________________
(3) Got that?
McCabe's beloved FBI recommended that he be fired for lying to the DOJ Inspector General.
_________________________
(4) This is not Trump's doing.
The FBI itself said, "McCabe is not worthy to work for us."
_________________________
(5) This is what McCabe said after he was fired.
"I have unfailing faith in the men and women of the FBI."
_________________________
(6) Since the FBI itself determined that McCabe should be fired, and since McCabe has unfailing faith in the FBI, that means he agrees that firing him was the the right thing to do.
_________________________
(7) This was an entirely INTERNAL issue.
Trump had nothing to do with it.
_________________________
(8) The FBI is beyond reproach.
So says McCabe.
_________________________
(9) Therefore McCabe and all the others' attacks on Trump are entirely without merit.
As McCabe himself admits.

(10) "I have unfailing faith in the men and women of the FBI. The ones who fired me."
That's what he's saying...

And this is surprising how?
We just came off 8 years of a fricking Chief Executive and his minions saying “meh, frick the law”. This kind of stuff is old news.

I don't believe so. Just get your 20 in and then you are eligible for federal pension I believe at a rate of 3% of your current salary for every year you work starting at 20 years up to 33.33 years.
The nice thing about a federal job is you get a lot of security. The down side is the pay is not very good.

If the OIG report proves without a reasonable doubt that McCabe committed a crime this will backfire.

Good. Get the entire Democratic Party power structure on record as being McCabe’s champion prior to the report being released. It’s a perfect scenario in the lead up to the mid terms.

Personally speaking, I am not a bit surprised that this irredeemably corrupt and definitely doomed entity of governance called the USA Federal Government somehow allows a senior executive to be re-hired with full accumulation of retirement benefits immediately after being fired for criminal misconduct and malfeasance while holding a senior executive federal employment position.
In fact, it underscores my argument that the USA is doomed and will not last another 200 years. It is kaput. Whenever an entity is unable to cure itself of a fatal illness, it will die, and, it is clear to me that this entity will not be healed, nor does it have any desire to heal itself.
