Not really the Andrew Toney teams back in the day were much better. But technically they were USL back then, so I guess you are correct.

Also, not on the level of the Andrew Toney and Bo Lamar teams, but the teams in the early 2000’s were better as well.

This team fell apart down the stretch when Gant wasn’t full strength . Not enough length to compete with bigger teams.

Schultz sounds like nothing more than a bitchy little high school girl that can't let go of shite. It's like he's holding a grudge, on behalf of ULL, against Wade and LSU.

Just grow up and move on already.

Now u see what we deal with with UAB. They keep trying to pick fights so they feel relevant. Oh, the conspiracy theories about shutting down the football program. It was shut down because they brought 10k to their games. That doesn't support the laundry bill for a 1A program but we should keep handing over millions to keep them afloat.

If UAB wants football, cool, just support yourself. ULL is taking the approach that if they piss off enough LSU folks then they will get games and make millions off of that. Hell, They are trying to get an on campus stadium at UAB and claim we r paying off people to vote it down. They want 55k seats by the way.....Yes, 55 thousand

When they can afford it, fine, build 100k seats. Who cares? ULL is trying mooch off the cash cow in Louisiana and triple its budget and become big time. UAB and ull don't want their big games to be southern miss, which is their level. They want LSU and Bama as their big games and it simply won't happen but give em credit for trying even as asinine as it may be.

this is perfect. First time I agree with an alabama fan.

I would rather watch Oprah than listen to a local station in Lafayette talking about USL sports. This town lives off of that stupid bowl wins, in a bowl that didn't exist before that. It's INSANE how they think it makes them relevant.

reminds me of TCU where I live, they bring up their watered down Rose Bowl win of a few years ago every time someone questions their relevance, like that permanently validates them and keeps them in the conversation

Yeah, and outside of Ben Love, its pretty terrible. I have no idea how this Dave Schultz guy has a show, he's not good at all.

The game sure.

But kicking them in their wannabe balls.

That never gets old.

That seems to be the sentiment of their school to. They use Ragin Cajun to eliminate Lafayette in their name.

This is as much as they've ever had to talk about, so I think they should keep ranting until August comes around. Why not?
