Coach O has a delicate situation on his hands, and the way he handles it could determine a lot about how successful the Tigers are this fall.

This gives me a very uneasy feeling in my gut.

O will handle it with his usual deft hand and wise planning.

Ed will ruin at least one of the young QBs on this team.

It sounds more like he's saying if one of them doesn't get the starting job he thinks that kid may transfer. I don't see how that means he would ruin them. How exactly can he ruin a QB before the season?

I don't know what to make of this with them all being "equal" right now.

And looking for a grad transfer after spring?

Oh boy.

I just don't buy the equal stuff. If McMillan was gonna challenge Brennan, Brennan wouldn't have passed him last year IMO. I think the "quarterback battle" is strictly to see how Brennan handles the pressure. Just my uneducated take.

The majority of top rated QBs transfer. It’s the world we live in.

I've always thought when they both signed that one will transfer eventually. Too much talent in a me now world. Almost impossible to keep them both. I think Lowell ends up transferring if Brennan gets the nod at starter.

I'll never understand these backup LSU QBs. If it's either MB or LN thinking about this then that isn't a very bright decision. Staying is their best chance to play, and advance their career. Even if you transfer, you aren't promised anything, and it's an entirely new team, offense, environment and all. That's not easy to do. It's not like they are imagining obviously. You don't just transfer and play. You don't get instant recognition. They need to stay the course and leave it up to God. It worked out for Matt Flynn pretty darn well.

I wouldn't even understand if the junior wanted to leave. If he goes to a smaller school, yes he will play but you can forget going pro. You may as well graduate from LSU first and then just go have fun for a year. I could understand then.

Bs. Saban benches hurts for tua in the last 30 minutes of the season, and brings in another top qb after that. And all is well. We can’t keep TWO! One gets hurt we have no qb! Bc the other one left.

Tubby Smith nailed it in his rant. Teaching them how to quit.

That would be a dumb move on either of their parts. There is no way that the job will be clearly one guy's over the other by the time Spring ends. It will be a year before either of those guys can make a decision like that.

I think McMillan actually graduates this spring or summer, so he could transfer elsewhere and play for 2 years.
