I get that but you should be working the basics of your philosophy. And you should be able to install an entire college offense in like four practices.

So it’s not too far to reach and say that we have no identity after watching a few minutes of practice and given our offensive history and our coach’s history of lip service

And thank you to the poster above who reaffirmed that IDENTITY is important for a football team. This isn’t Madden 18. You can’t just switch playbooks

The passing game does NOT need to come from a pro system.

Can you explain your thinking here? Isn't Brennan a pocket passer? Why can't he run a pro style system? Especially if these receivers are as good as everyone says. It seemed to work ok for Mett. Why can't Brennan do that?

Brennan came from a very simple system at St Stanislaus. Very up tempo, all shotgun.

He is a decent runner.

Recuiting “gurus” call him a pro-style because he is tall and white.

That’s my thinking.

Here is an article on an offense that is simple and has an identity.

Wait you’re mad we don’t have an identity on Day 1 of spring while breaking in a new QB, new RB, new WRs & a new OC?

Couldn’t you wait until August to melt?

This is a rational response. And, I almost made something similar.

But, then I remember that this is the kind of rhetoric that follows the hiring of an Ensminger at coordinator. And, while it doesn't necessarily hold water in a vacuum, this rant is absolutely on the mark overall. And, LSU brought this on itself.

I don’t understand why anyone wouldn’t be excited about a geriatric TE coach turned OC along with a failed 56 yr old HC/used car salesman/shrimp boat captain. You guys are just haters who don’t love LSU and binders. Shame on you

Not bored. Just furious.

You read the same old lip service and see the same old shite for years. It boils over at some point.

But keep being positive, man.

Not being "positive". Just being rational here. We really don't know.

How do you know it is lip service on Day 1 of spring? We are 5months and 22 days away from playing an actual game.

Same. Hell, I'm anything but an O supporter and even I'm saying this is off base.

Don't get me wrong, I love the passion and enthusiasm, I just think we should wait until at least the spring game to start saying what kind of offense is being run. Even then, they aren't going to show much at all.

Why are we visiting the F’n San Diego Super Chargers for offense after spring!? Pro players do football 24/7....college players have 15-18 hours of class and homework etc. why would you try to run a complicated offense?!?!

Why not visit Clemson or even the Eagles (if you must visit a pro team) to try to SIMPLIFY YOUR OFFENSE

And from what little practice video I watched I see the qbs under center again. FML
