Can you give any more details? How long would it be? Is that budget including airfare? What do y'all like to do? Time of year?

Italy
D Republic
Costa Rica
France
Hawaii
Lots of options with that price range, but you need to narrow down what you're looking for. Beach, sightseeing, etc.

For a honeymoon, you really can't beat Tahiti (Bora Bora and Moorea). It is pricey though and may be outside your budget but you should definitely look into it.

How long? $10k for 5 days is different than 14 days. I was about to say that's a lot for a honeymoon and then I realized after my miles and rewards that's about what my wife and I spent for 13 nights in Europe.

Italy, depending on the length of your trip:
Spend a few days on the Amalfi Coast and then a few days in Tuscany.

Also: what season/time of year?

This is a little difficult, but the general principle that occurs to me is, try something you're really going to be surprised by. Something that's still going to stick out in your memories even after a lifetime of nice islands, ski trips, city breaks, and community service projects (may you both have as much fun as all that!).
For example, we'd never go to the arctic wilderness on business or really for any other reason at all, so fulfilling a dream to see the Icehotel was worth it. A close friend pulled an amazing stunt after getting everyone all packed and ready to believe they were jetting off and later found they were shacked up at a stunning beach chalet pretty much across the street from where they drove off :)
Personally? I wish we'd taken more time off from the folks and made it to the Maldives. Still hasn't happened... so don't forget to stash away ideas for anniversaries to come, too!

I went to Moorea /Bora Bora-flew Air France for my honeymoon out of LA , landed in Papaete, stayed a night there and then took the island to island planes thereafter. I think the flight was seven hours. We stayed at an LAX hotel and so split the flight. You want to do 10-14 days. And yes, it is actually for everybody. Breath-taking and a lifetime memory.
I might suggest as a cheaper alternative a trip to Kauai and a stay at the Grand Hyatt there. That's a great spot for a honeymoon. Best pools ever, lots of outdoor activities.
I hear The Maldives are great. Fiji, Bali, Thailand. Spain, Italy, France , Greece are all good.
Personally, I head toward Asia because everything seems SO different that it makes the experience more immediate and more memorable. The sunsets and the shadows and the whole feel of things is just different.

Just booked my honeymoon last week.
Getting married a month prior but:
Going to London for 3 days(shes a fashion major whos never been out of the country) than Prague, than Bratislava, and finishing off at Budapest. Since we're going in dec we'll be stopping at some Christmas markets and bs things like that. We got round trip and 11 nights hotel for under $1,800.
