I'll answer your canine questions seriously.
I can't answer for back in the day, but over the last 10 years , religious persons in this country have been denigrated by progressives and the unofficial/titular home of te anti-Christian movement resides in the Democrat Party. Why would an evangelical want to do business with people who denigrate them?
Are there. I don't see the Black preachers overall as being religious. Persons like Sharpton have the honorific, but he does not preach about salvation or morality and getting to heaven or saved, he's all about politics
What's so bad about making a buck? It sure as hell beats taking 20 years on your thesis and working at a Circle K on College Drive
there is no "separation" of church and state. There is only the freedom of religion "
I get tired of this, yes, abortion in MURDER. You stick a syringe up the female's vaginal canal with a chemical concoction that essentially make the uterus start to reject the fetus. then as the bleeding starts he inserts a mini Vacuum cleaner type device to suck out the fetus. Yeah, I would not vote for a politcian that advocates that level of cruelty.
But then, you are a dog, so you wouldn't understand that sort of thing, you enjoy tasting soiled diapers

And we already know that religiosity doesn't automatically direct someone to Republicanism: there are MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS of very religious Democrats.

I've known a lot Evangelicals. The one constant with all of them is that none of them are communists. So, they are naturally repulsed by the democrat party. That leaves the GOP by default.

Change the question.
What about the Democrat party is attractive to evangelicals?

For a person who is an extreme atheist, you sure spend an inordinate amount of time thinking about God.

No God given rights that man or government can't take away?
Posted on 3/8/18 at 10:57 am to TigerBait1971
There are no god given rights.
And look what your "God" has brought us:
A piece of shite in the White House, a piece of shite as head of the EPA, a piece of shite... well, you get the idea.

Evangelicals have a certain view of morality.
They have a certain view of God.
This is self evident. Those two basic items probably define evangelicals more than anything else.
Of the two parties, democrats oppose that view of morality. In fact, it's been a constant attack of basic morality for the last 50 years. Democrats by and large reject an objective morality. They reject the concept of evil.
Of the two parties, democrats negatively view and express their negative views of God. You are a great example of that. In fact, belief in God is under attack and has been very openly for a while by liberals.
This is common sense. Most God fearing individuals would look at you and see an immoral, bad person. Moreover, they would see someone who wants to attack their faith and ridicule them for it.
And, if that weren't enough, they would see someone who despite all of that complains that Evangelicals don't see the world the same way he does.
Rex, you are an angry, angry little man. You are now someone who attacks people for being religious...or for having their own personal moral opinion that differs from you.
