What makes evangelicals Republican?

Now, they will tell you it's because of "unborn children"... blah blah blah... knowing full well that for decades of Republican power those Repubs have done squat to end abortion.
And we already know that religiosity doesn't automatically direct someone to Republicanism: there are MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS of very religious Democrats.
And, certainly, this past election and current support for an Orange Shitgibbon has conclusively proven, once and for all, that they don't give a rat's arse about morality and ethics and good examples in their leaders.
So, what's it all about?
Well, let's face it... when push comes to shove they're really no different from other Republicans. It's all about shortsighted profit.
Those evangelicals have an eye on business. Their proselytizing is for money. They seek to demolish the First Amendment and the separation of church and state because they seek government sponsorship of their own lifestyles at the expense of everyone else.
Now, for some of them the arrangement would be pretty convenient: since Jesus is going to fix everything, anyway, there's really no sense in keeping the planet clean for future generations... just suck up everything you can to luxuriate in both THIS life and the one to come.
I said "some" there because I'm convinced most are charlatans, anyway... the morals, the ethics, the love... all shams by people who don't give a damn about anybody else.

Your rant is based on false premises. For so worldly view of a man I would expect no less.

This is a pretty weak hypothesis
For every rich preacher there are hundreds (at minimum) of people giving them the money to make them rich.
The idea that all evangelicals are flushed with cash is a bit silly
Perhaps the reason why evangelicals tend to vote republican is they are charitable within their own communities and don't see the need for the government to run charities at fricking gunpoint.

So you admit there aren’t MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of democrats who care about profit?
Your logic is terrible, but if you can implicitly state this I’ll allow it.

Never said so... but just as there are countless people who think their spaghetti sauce is the best thing ever, and therefore wish to open their own restaurants, there are countless high school level thinkers who believe that their own special take on religion is unique and needs to be heard. It's fantasy.

I say you don't know how to read.

It would take the Supreme Court overturning Roe vs. Wade to end abortion, which is precisely the main reason why many evangelicals vote Republican. They want conservative Supreme Court justices nominated in hopes to overturn the decision, and this will only come about by having a Republican President and Republican Senate.

There are at least 4 high school level thinkers who believe their own special take on the constitution needs to be heard, that is definitely fantasy.

I'm struggling to see what this has to do with anything about your own topic
