The speech that put the final nails in the coffin for me staying in NOLA long term. Nothing says functioning politics like blaming fricking statues for young professionals leaving. Hey Mitch, how about you fix the roads first and worry about feel good bullshite second.

This right here folks paints the diffeeence between liberals and conservatives. Symbolism over substance. You would think an adult could see past emotion but a fairly educated and half way intelligent person like Rex can't. It is beyond them. It is all how about how ymthings make me feel rather than how they make me think.

If he had any balls and really just wanted to do the "right thing," he would've taken them down when he got in office and not when he was a lame duck not up for reelection. That was just straight pandering on his part.
