What percentage of blacks think OJ did it, and what percentage of whites think he didn’t?

Seriously, have you even spoken to either one who feels that way? I haven’t, but some of each group has to be out there somewhere.
Remember the day the verdict came in, and how divided the country was? The blacks cheered, and the whites were stunned in silence.

I don't think black people believe that he was innocent. A lot of them think he did it. They were just happy that he got away with it. They saw it as settling the score for all the times that they got fricked over.

They knew he did it and just wanted him off.
This was a time nwa and a lot of rap groups were singing about f&&& the police.
This stems from Chief Gates wanted to be strong or look strong to the voting public that the LAPD was controlling gang violence since early 80’s when it climbed in LA.
Reality was if you worked with older supervisors who knew chain of command of gangs you didn’t have to beat the crap out of low level guys to make slow down violence. You had the realionship to try to work with higher level guys to stop or slow down the violence. Never really going to stop it.
You had young officers beating crap out of a low level want to be gang member when there were better ways to handle it. It made the LAPD look bad in certain areas and OJ case was symbol that they won.

Everyone believes he did it. Blacks viewed it as payback for Rodney king and a victory over the white man. Put a gun to their heads and they’d all acknowledge he’s a murderer. Just like whites would acknowledge that the Rodney king beating was fricked up.

This happened over 23 years ago. It has been said that he got off because racial tensions were high at the time.
TBH, if an OJ-like trial would happen in 2018, sadly the same results are likely to occur. In other words, nothing has changed in our racial status.

No black person I know today thinks he is innocent. Even back then it was more of a frick you whitey thing than oh he is innocent. OJ all but admitted he did it.

The reason for the acquittal was to save central Los Angeles from being burned down and possibly hundreds of people being killed in LA and across the country. It was about fear, nothing more. 90% of blacks know he did it, but few will admit it in public.
