Your an idiot if you think its easy for a 6foot 2 inch player to stand under the goal and dunk. Can you dunk idiot? Guess what, dunking how he does in games means he is fricking explosive you dumbfrick. Gtfoh. Stfu. Holy shite wtf you damn idiots.

Ok so posting thats he’s not explosive inst bashing him. frick you, you idiot.
You really aren't very bright are you? Show me where I bashed him and or even said he wasn't athletic. I guess since Manu Ginobli has been able to drive at will all of his career he is explosive now too? Of course not, getting to the rim for some players is about angles and leverage.
Btw, if you ever paid any attention to my posts before this one that you are twisting into oblivion or especially in the game thread, you would know what a fan I am of Skyler Mays. But, instead you choose to act like an ignorant 3rd grader and lash out for no reason. Jackass.

fricking classic. Once again show me where I said that it was easy for a 6'2" player to do that? What hell are you smoking today?

Exactly. There are 2 explosive athletes on the team, Waters and Sampson. That doesn't mean the others aren't good basketball players. This shite is ridiculous. I feel like I'm dealing with a dillusional O supporter here.

He's making me laugh, so I'm enjoying it.

I always respect the fact that Mays has always busted arse here, even last year when no one else gave a shite.
He still tends to dribble to much and put his head down and drive without thinking at times, but he's cut down on that a good bit of late and become a much more productive player the last half of SEC play because of that.
I think he's become a better player with every game and isn't that what we want from all of our players?

Since last year mays explodes for dunks and can slash and finish with big men around him.

I describe Skylar Mays as "deliberate".
It was easy to see early in the season with his failure to finish at basket. He improved on that tremendously as season progressed. He's still a very deliberate dribbler and when he runs the point, it's not fluid.
Skylar is a great effort and hustle guy and there were times this season he seemed the only one giving full 100% effort.
To answer OP, he is athletic, but as he progresses with court awareness, the athleticism will show more and more. I think we've seen a nice glimpse of it the last month or so and the dunk today was a testament to that.

Manu in his prim was the European dunk king.

So he gets to the rim and isnt explosive at 6’2 or so. And then dunks on people.
But he’s not explosive at all.
fricking rantards.

Dunking how he does in traffic is extremely explosive you jack frick, especially at 6’2. Im sure Will Wade would agree, why di you think mays has free reign to attack off the dribble all game.
You fricks cant dunk for sure so stfu. Otherwise you would know how hard it is to dunk ON people in games.
And then he is doing it on 6’8 people etc. fricking idiots.

So, basically what you're saying is that all college and professional athletes are explosive. I'm assuming you also mean in particular basketball players.

He starts for 1 reason, we are lacking depth

There's only one person in the thread acting like a middle schooler with a little man complex embarrassing themselves and that would be you with the attempted insults.

I will approach it to you this way then. Brandon Sampson and Mays in a dunk contest, who wins?

Just googled this and came up with nothing.

Sampson jumps highest on team. Mays is right there with him. Mays lrobably has nicer dunks but sampson gets higher.
Who wins in a dunk contest is a toss up.

“He was an incredible athlete, flying and jumping all over the place, making unbelievable plays,” Messina said. Making a stylistic contrast to the kind of talent — less improvisational, more mechanical — that Europe was known for and a comparison to American-born athletes, Messina added, admiringly, “He was like a black player.”
