He was actually 6’4 7/8” so technically not over 6’5”. That wing span is above average but not in elite territory

Oh, I read it wrong. Just under 6'5" is still solid. I was worried he's was going to be under 6'4" and another victim of LSU's program embellishment.
Wingspan definitely didn't hurt him. What is elite territory for a DE? Clowney I guess with 7'0"?

82” is a 6’10 wing span, no? Or is my math that bad
Yea that’s be elite
Yea that’s be elite

He's going to be a rich man.
But, 4.7 at 238 isn't off the charts at all.

Hopefully it finally comes out why he missed all that time last offseason and showed up overweight
He needs to be a freak at the Combine to “outweigh” his character issues. I can see him anywhere from 10-15 spot

You’d be naive to say a guy that disappeared off the team the spring and summer before the money year of his college career and then showed back up out of shape and made very little impact on the field wouldn’t have some explaining to do at the combine before teams invested millions of dollars in him. You don’t think Tyrann Matthieu had to answer a few questions?

I think high 4.5-low4.6
Long strides will make up a ton of ground, and fast. With a good start could hit 4.4’s

No way.

It will be interesting to see. I never thought he had that kind of speed. He has very good explosion and very good technical pass rush skills.
I think he's going to be closer to 4.7 than 4.5. Hopefully, I'm wrong and he has a great performance. If he runs in 4.65 - 4.70 range, he'll still be viewed as an elite pass rushing prospect.

Now he's super awesome to everybody on here

I think he will run a 4.68 or somewhere in that range. If he runs a 4.5 he will a top 5 pick regardless of his off the field issues. He could take the wonderlic drunk and still go top 10 with those measurables.

Yep, my math is goofy...tried dividing 82/12 and took the remainder as inches instead of fraction of a foot

First and foremost, aren’t we LSU fans? To want a former player to be successful at the next level is perfectly normal and encouraging, but we should focus more on who is going to make an impact for LSU this offseason and the future rather than getting so caught up with a former players draft stock.

Having former LSU players become high profile NFL players is very good for our program.
To say otherwise is just foolish.
And I'm sorry there isn't much to talk about with the current team while they aren't even practicing at the moment.

6-5 238 lbs. Was weighing in at over 270 lbs in September. Wow. Should fly in the 40.
Problem is, he can't olay in the NFL at that weight..so what does his speed mean today? Not much

He’s definitely a tweener in the NFL. Mingo never materialized because he’s too light in the arse.
Key is a much better pass rusher than Mingo though. He’s just a natural. He has great bend and good hand placement. He will play far heavier than that weight. He’s just trying to run a great 40 time because it will make him a lot of money if he runs anything less than a 4.6-4.7:

He only played in 8 games and had 4 sacks, tell me which players had more sacks/game than he did? He may not have dominated as expected but he did make more than a little impact after his first game or two.

I do think this is true but if he looks real good at the combine, I think they'll take just about any excuse he gives.
