How to remove rocks from sandy lake shore

What is the best way to remove rocks from a sandy lake shoreline? The shoreline is just beach sand and rocks, and I’m trying to find the easiest way to clear as many of the rocks as possible. All the attachments I’ve found are over $10,000, and I don’t think it would be used enough to justify that. I’m just looking for someone to point me in the right direction. TIA

They range in size from pebbles to 2 inches in diameter. No big stones or anything like that. Literally, just small rocks, all over.

I'd just pay some day laborers to do it by hand. Probably your cheapest option and you'd save your back

I just saved you $10,000. You're welcome.

Get some prisoners from the local sheriffs office for a day. I believe you have to provide transportation, food and pay 1/2 minimum wage.

Ha, the rocks are much smaller than that. We’re talking about slightly bigger than pebble size, and 100ft of shoreline. They are the size rocks that would need to be sifted from the sand.

Are they naturally occurring or is the beach man made?

Easiest way is probably to scoop it all up using a dozer or something then pour new sand

Large screen shaker/sifter on legs with wheels? roll it along and do 1 section at a time. could probably build that yourself.
It's probably going to be an endless job.
Hope you don't grab any cat turds by mistake, they don't skip very well.

I was in the Bahamas over Mardi Gras and saw a laborer raking rocks out of sand on a beach in front of a house. He just raked rocks into piles, put in a bucket and dumped bucket off to the side of beach. Looked slow but effective and MISERABLE.

You'll be chasing rocks forever and never get them all out.
You could dig down a foot or two and haul in sand but you looking at removing 100 yards of material minimum. If they that small why even worry about them?

How big of an area? As said they are likely below the surface too?
Look up sand flea Rake, if you are just talking about a a couple 100 sq ft you could use something like that for a couple of hours and get it done.
I feel like it would be a continuous issue though.

I've never used that attachment so not sure if can be rented. But I have rented/used a "rock hound" attachment. Not sure it would filter down to the size you want though.
