Reed should be starting over slaughter.

Honest question because I have no idea what the answer is. Could Broussard play 3rd and slide Webre in at 2nd? Kept hearing people on here say that Webre needed to be in the lineup is why I ask.

The problem with that is Slaughter has way way way more upside than Reid. The thinking is you take the lumps early to get an elite player later.

When Smith comes back he moves back to 3rd and leave Hughes at ss.

I expected this before Smith’s injury. This is what will make our defense go

Did you pay attention during the preseason? Slaughter consistently had the highest velocity coming off his bat. When he barrels it up, he is going to get base hits. He needs time, and to be given a chance to get it together. If the lights come on he will be really really good. Give him time to play himself out of the position. 5 games is not close to enough time.

Smith is the better SS. More range and better arm.

Slaughter is having a hard time figuring it out right now.

Feel bad for him. So much power. Hope he figures it out.

Webre is a complete liability on defense. You’d be better off playing Bain at second and having Webre DH.
