My father-in-law just bought a place on the water up there. I've heard it's great for bass, but not familiar with it as I'm usually an inshore fisher.

Big water that can get angry. Stay in the boat lanes while on step.

Lots od Bass

and lots of bass fishermen

My dad and I used to fill the boat with huge bream and crappie in the 70's, you could catch 100+ a day of either species

Pretty muddy right now

Locals don't care for folks with center consoles aka #teamziploc

Very stumpy. Stay in boat lanes

Hard to get lost these days with the GPS systems in all modern depth finders. Stay in the boat lanes when you are hammering down. Stumps are everywhere.

HIGHLY recommend trailering to the nearest launch in the area you intend to fish. My Dad and Bro both have 21+ skeeters with 225's and they do it because that lake can get nasty in the middle/crossing. Not to mention trailering can save you from getting punished running waves

if you get lost on any like in 2018, you shouldn't be on the water to begin with.

Amen ZeekFreak, Ran into one last year bobbing like a cork on the side of the EW boat lane on a rented pontoon boat. "We are lost and out of gas" I look in the back and there are 2 gas cells. The one they were on was empty the other slap full. They had been out there for 4 hrs tied up to a stump all sunburnt like some idots, and were about 12 miles from where the needed to be. I reached over swapped the fuel line to the other tank, pumped the bulb hit the key and pointed them to up lake to the point they needed to go to be within a mile of there launch. I have no clue if they made it or not but I just shook my head and eased to the camp. ZERO sense of direction among the 9 of them onboard. were heading dead away from where they need to go and headed to the opposite side of the lake when they "ran out of gas". VERY LITTLE alcohol was involved. Grown arse people not kids. 3 of them petrochemical plant administrators, school teachers, and a business owner. BLOWS MY MIND.

OBC is also that Bossier D-bag, I'm fairly certain it has to be.
