This is going to break and be huge, Mueller got Flynn to plea even though he had committed no crime by threatening a never ending investigation against his son and wife that would have bankrupted him.

This is why so many people plead out against the government. They have unlimited resources and all the time in the world in which to use them.

US Attorneys are bullies.

I, personally, find nothing sympathetic about a guy who, with his son, was doing shady, illegal shite with foreign adversaries like Turkey/Erdogan and Russia. I'm surprised any conservative would find sympathy for such a man.

There is nothing unusual or shady about the NYT article you posted. It's also from 2015 and makes no mention, nor offers any support, for the conspiracy the right has thrown together since 2016.

There was no quid pro quo
The money was invested years ago
No uranium went to Russia
The guy who made the donations left U1 in like 2010

The problem is that Trumpkins are autistic cultists and so instead of making a point about prosecutorial power generally, they're stuck in a loop of getting endlessly madder and madder about this one particular case until they're spitting hot fire like "TRUMP SHOULD ARREST THE ENTIRE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE AND DECLARE HIMSELF GENERALISSIMO" which kinda betrays that the underlying concern isn't with civil liberties

If they'd had the good fortune to develop a theory of mind as children, they might be able to generalize from this case to a thousand other cases taking place every day, and maybe advocate for some actual reforms to the prosecutorial system that help both prominent white-collar defendants like Flynn and Dwayne from Lake Charles who had to cop a plea because the DA had a jailhouse snitch and his public defender was shite and he wanted to see his kids again

Alas,

totally understand why people would look at this like some shady shite, I get it.

In the context of McCabe ordering subordinates to change 302s (i.e. spoliation of evidence), everything gets cast under that light.

If it is true that they changed the 302s, this entire investigation will be damaged beyond repair.

If that's the case, McChowder, it will come out. As it stands now, that's nothing more than a rumor from relatively questionable sources.

Let me ask you this....if Mueller gets through this thing and we get concrete, irrefutable evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians but the Trump legal team comes out and says there was some minor manipulation of paperwork that really had no bearing on the outcome of the case, do you, personally, ignore the treasonous behavior?

FARA violation

No one goes to jail for a FARA violation. They send letters. There have only been something like 4 prosecutions in the last 10 years and the plea deals ended up being fines.

Flynn is experiencing the chickens coming home to roost. That "lock her up speech" is classic backfire. He did it to himself.

What felony other than "lying to the FBI"? FARA a felony, no one goes to jail for that

You idiots are a laugh riot. You were ready to jail Clinton over emails, only to find out many politicians were using private emails, including Republicans. You were ready to jail her over Uranium One, which was completely debunked as conspiracy theory bullsh*t.

My problem with Hillarys unsecured email server was that it had classified information on it. If anyone (including republicans) do the same they should go to jail.

By not doing anything (and not making an example out of an "untouchable" person like Hillary) only makes this shite happen that much more frequently.

Break the law...go to jail. Hell I think all criminal penalties (and taxes) should be doubled for all politicians.

Nice strawman.

302s are witness testimonies. That is the evidence the SC will use to prove Flynn purjured himself. It is direct evidence of the crime he is being charged with and it was tampered with. If they are willing to manipulate 302s, what else might they have done during the course of this investigation?

It's like asking me to trust a law enforcement investigation from the same people caught planting evidence in the trunk of my car lol.

It's not a "strawman". It's a legit conversation to have and question to ask.

So Flynn comes out and says, "yep, we colluded and Trump knew it.". Same statements come from Papadopalous, Manafort, Gates, Kushner (he'll flip like a bitch), and Sessions. Incontrovertible evidence and witness testimony that it happened and Trump knew.

Then they say Flynn's guilty plea was under false pretenses and his testimony should be ignored.

So you call Trump a traitor or do you hang your hat on the investigation being improperly conducted during a single interview?
