that Mueller may have agreed informally not to charge the Flynns with the undisclosed paid foreign agent work they were both doing for the Turkish Government in exchange for Flynn Sr's cooperation.

Quite a reach. Just get ready for when his case is dropped

I think this was Sara Carter saying she spoke to someone very close to Flynn. She's solid, but yes....need more proof.

Sessions needs to appoint another SC to oversee the current one. Dems will shite their pants, but the records of those Mueller appointed demand oversight and Rosenstein is too conflicted.

You idiots are a laugh riot. You were ready to jail Clinton over emails, only to find out many politicians were using private emails, including Republicans. You were ready to jail her over Uranium One, which was completely debunked as conspiracy theory bullsh*t.

You don't care about justice or facts. You only care that Republicans are getting their arse reamed.

Flynn is gonna need Mueller on tape saying this.

Otherwise media will bury it.

They'll have to dig it up to bury it.

That "news" is months old.

Flynn Jr. was under investigation for work he did for his father's company (including being an undeclared foreign agent). Of course Mueller put his son's legal troubles on the table, why the frick wouldn't he?

It's almost like you have absolutely no clue what it is prosecutors are charged with doing to gain cooperation.

ETA: In the real world of the MSM, this was reported the day Flynn was pleaded out. Surprising your totally awesome and true news is just finding this to be a worthy talking point.

I think the point most are making is that this destroys the narrative "you don't plead guilty unless you are guilty". When you threaten a father with destroying their child's life, either by prosecution or by the cost to defend a charge, the choice is clear.

Flynn was protecting his family from an overzealous SC that may have tampered with evidence in its pursuit to take him down.

Congrats libs, you just made Flynn a sympathetic figure.

At least one person is grounded and understands the facts here.

How? He pleaded guilty to a lesser crime in exchange for cooperation. Because he was guilty.

It happens all the time

Nobody with a passing familiarity with the justice system should think this.

Don't forget establishing her own server in a bathroom somewhere, sending/receiving classified information over said private server, deleting 30,000 subpoenaed emails, using BleachBit to wipe the server clean, and destroying devices with hammers.

But sure, she did nothing wrong.

I totally understand why people would look at this like some shady shite, I get it. The problem is that Mueller has evidence of major crimes against Flynn Sr. and, when you do stupid shite and allow yourself to end up in the sights of the FBI and a special counsel, well, you aren't exactly in a position to bargain.

Typically, a cooperating witness like Flynn Sr. would need to offer information before any plea is offered. They call it "Queen for a day" in legal circles. If Mueller feels that the information is reliable and valuable, he then makes deals.

Flynn Sr. has info and it was of enough importance that he was not only able to get his son off the hook but also get his own charges dropped to nothing more than lying to the FBI.

I, personally, find nothing sympathetic about a guy who, with his son, was doing shady, illegal shite with foreign adversaries like Turkey/Erdogan and Russia. I'm surprised any conservative would find sympathy for such a man.

That's been the talking point of the liberals on this board for months and it is one of the biggest fallacies of the American judicial system. The Feds have access to so much of our personal information at the snap of a finger, and our U.S. Code has so many laws that finding and charging someone with a crime is just plain easy.

If the FBI and DOJ want to ruin you, they will. And if you don't cooperate, they will go after those closest to you until you do. There is a reason their conviction rate is so high: the system is rigged. I've always said the FBI and DOJ have as much in common with the mafia in how they operate than any other entity or organization.
