People don’t “battled drugs, alcohol and depression”

They battle themselves. The phrase itself is an admission of defeat - externalizing the real problem.
Addiction is you against you and you’re either losing or winning. It’s you taming your biological/chemical responses like a cowboy taming a wild steed.
Addiction is nothing more than the fruit of not mastering discipline - a master virtue attained by very few today, topped only by patience.
Don’t give up on yourself by losing to yourself. But primarily, know where the real battle lies.

how depressing, you just put a damper on my morning right as I was having my first drink, think I'll just smoke a joint and go back to bed

I’m addicted to masturbation and this is definitely true. I go to war with myself 4 times a day.

Hello there, I think you should have technique to handle or to overcome your depression. You need to be strong enough to fight, against your addiction. My friend who was in depression and always used to stay apart from our friend circle, he visited to LINK who helped him in curing his depression with the help of psychic reading.

Thanks for this. I'm sure that your link is fabulous, but I can't really afford to replace my phone right now.
