The liberal paradise of San Francisco is turning into a third world country

How dirty is San Francisco? An NBC Bay Area Investigation reveals a dangerous mix of drug needles, garbage, and feces throughout downtown San Francisco. The Investigative Unit surveyed 153 blocks of the city – the more than 20-mile stretch includes popular tourist spots like Union Square and major hotel chains. The area – bordered by Van Ness Avenue, Market Street, Post Street and Grant Avenue – is also home to City Hall, schools, playgrounds, and a police station.
As the Investigative Unit photographed nearly a dozen hypodermic needles scattered across one block, a group of preschool students happened to walk by on their way to an afternoon field trip to citiy hall.
“We see poop, we see pee, we see needles, and we see trash,” said teacher Adelita Orellana. “Sometimes they ask what is it, and that’s a conversation that’s a little difficult to have with a 2-year old, but we just let them know that those things are full of germs, that they are dangerous, and they should never be touched.”
In light of the dangerous conditions, part of Orellana’s responsibilities now include teaching young children how to avoid the contamination.

Seems like being a sanctuary city they would have enough cheap labor to clean that shite up.

Why does SFO upset you? It's their city, they live there, I never will. In fact, I'm thankful that they have created a magnet for homeless drug addicts far, far away from where I live.
Thank you San Fran - keep up the good work!

You can randomly pick up hand guns and have them accidentally go off and kill women, after being deported 5-6 times...that’s pretty dirty...

Just leave Half Moon Bay alone.

Seems like investigation wouldn’t need tobe anything more than any Joe Schmo would be able to snap a few pictures and put them on social media.

Spent a summer in San Francisco in 2009. It was really nice. Went back last year and it was a complete shithole. Really went to hell in a hand basket over those years. Don’t really know what happened.

You blaming the citizens, or the ones doing the illegal dumping? I live in Louisiana, I am used to corporations polluting the environment.

I’ll be out there again the first week of March as my company is hosting our annual conference. I’ll take note to see if it is worse than the last time I was out there in October.

Same, I spent a some time in SF in 09 and it was kind of clean except for Haight St...the bums were everywhere down there...
The people downtown were mostly shitheads, so I hung out in Chinatown.
I talked with a buddy, and went through a bunch of pics he took...maddening how big of a shithole it's becoming.

They want the rest of the country to be like them, because they're just so darn progressive.
I don't want to be like them, and I know I don't because of things like this.

But you don't want the rest of the country to be like you, right? Just not like SFO? What is the range of what is acceptable to you and who gets to determine that?

You don't have to be.
I'm thankful that SFO is a safe, welcoming place for homeless drug addicts as well as a sanctuary city...it attracts and keeps those people over there.

They have the worst homeless population I have ever seen. Begger every 10 feet. At least in New Orleans they often don't just tell you to give them money they will offer up where you got your shoes. In SF they created an entitled bunch of beggers.

We had a nice hotel downtown and went to go walk around and find dinner somewhere and I was scared for my life because of all the creepy zombies that came out of nowhere as soon as it was dark.
No way in hell I'd walk around SF at night with a woman.

You have ties to Toledo and you bad talk San Francisco? I spent a lot of time at the nuclear plant in Oak Harbor, the refineries in Lima, Oregon, and Toledo. Toledo is just about the most unpleasant area I have ever worked. I got several friends that live in NW Ohio. I have never told them my true feeling about the area. That’s why we are still friends.

Well, with 2009 as your benchmark... Obama happened.
