Seems a bit pricey for bbq...is it that good?

I only got to try what they were serving at Taste of Tiger Tailgating, but it was pretty damn good. I'd like to try them the next time I'm in BR.

Pulled pork, grilled Andouille and boudin balls were very good. Surprisingly, Brisket was horrible. Dry and chewy. Appeared to be cut wrong - with the grain.

Are they still serving soft drinks from glass bottles "to provide the freshest product possible" as described by our waiter the one time we went?

Went once and was a huge fan of the place. Even got into it with some on this board who I thought were being overly critical.
Went a second time a few weeks later and the meal was terrible. Everything was dry and severely over priced for what you got.
The new Sonny's is a better BBQ deal - both price and food wise - than BRQ.

BRQ Review - If you go, dont order brisket
Not sure if you are referring to this thread or not, but I still stand behind my comment that bbq expectations for BR is very low. BRQ is still a pretty busy place.
I am still baffled by how a place that cannot do a proper brisket opens as a bbq restrnt. Ironically, I ate Pit Room Brisket & Beef Rib this week. Money.

Brisket is not good - it looks and tastes like the pre-cooked and sliced package from Sam's Club. And it's dry.
Everything else was just pretty good. I go to BBQ restaurants for the smoked brisket, so BRQ is out for me.

It's OK - not worth the price. shite, I can get elite BBQ in Austin for cheaper.

It is expensive. Portions seems large to me. I had the ribs.. I thought they were in line with TJ’s. The green beans were great. Overall ok.. would be better if it was about a third less cost wise.

i went for lunch. it's not a bbq place. its a concept of combing average at best bbq with other foods.

Sides are good, the meats seem dry. For Gods sake, don't mention anyones b'day, they bring out enough cake you need a turkey roaster to take it home.
