I like to think I'm pretty "normal". Work a 9-5 job never been in the military went to college. However I am a gun owner and participate in some competitive shooting and enjoy punching holes in paper. Maybe that doesn't qualify me as "normal" in your eyes.

You look like a clown in this thread.

I didn't need to get anyone else's opinion to make that conclusion.

You laughing at these guys for wanting to up hold the constitution is just sad.

That's literally all I've argued over the last few pages.

We're not there yet.

First, do you know the difference between deterrence and reaction?

Amusing is a more accurate description.

Same here. I like shooting guns. I have a few. My FIL has about 40. I'm not arguing gun control. Do you people even read? I've yet to say a single thing about gun control.

Not sure how I look like a clown, but by all means, join in with the other militia.

I haven't said the first thing changing the 2nd amendment. Apparently the president did though.

I just think the hardcore people on both sides don't help things. Try reading my posts. All I've argued against is the fact that people think they can defeat the US military.

I took a piece of the discussion that I personally found interesting and began arguing it.

Jesus.

I mean, we should probably feel bad at this point.

you are arguing against the reason the 2nd amendment was written because you don't think it would be possible.

U need a lot more than AR-15s to do that. U def will need at least one atom bomb and all weapons grade nuclear materials are owned by the Dept of Energy in the US, so even if possible to own the bomb itself, you couldn't own the fuel necessary to arm it.

And this was literally the first reply to you:

When do you guys think we may have to fight that war against our government?

I'd like to know why you think that's relevant... Platitudes can be fun, but they're not useful.

So, as I said, you're the one trying to argue with people that are not trying to argue against your point, because it is irrelevant to the discussion at hand. So, again, maybe take your own advice and take the loss on this one.

Why? Don't you like it when I show my office how the titans of politics on the PT think?

We have political debates in my office all the time.

I should say so. You are a punchline. To 8 people here anyway. Hope you're not embarrassed.

I'm not sure, really. Probably something about your need for validation combined with the things you've posted in here.

Sometimes, things are just amusing. I avoid trying to define it and simply enjoy it.

You do you. It's weird, but if you're in an office full of like-minded individuals, I think that's great.

Let's suppose these are real people we're dealing with here (they aren't). I'd guess that you're doing what anyone in your situation would do. Cherry-picking.

That can be fun, so good on you.

You dont have that right, actually. The dept of energy controls all fuels for nuclear bombs. Therefore you dont have a fair chance which is what the 2nd amendment is referring to. You haven't had a fair chance in 50 years yet u didnt even realize it.

No, not seeking validation. I've already gotten that anyway.

Like minded individuals? You actually just played that card?

I did cherry pick. The argument was over before it began.
