We have a horrible problem of kids going nuts and shooting up their schools and killing innocent people. The big question how do we stop it? The left seems to think more gun control will solve it and the right wants better mental health facilities. But it's not that simple, what's y'alls ideas

Metal detectors.

No school with metal detectors has mass shootings.

Look it up.

"Boom" science.

Men being fathers to their children is step one. Today’s society is much different that it was 20-30 years ago. The liberal media is warping the minds of people that cannot think for themselves and they have no upbringing to fall back on.

It starts with parents being involved and actually being parents and not friends. knowing what in the heck is going on with their kids would be a huge step. If you ask for your kids book bag and they say no you get it anyways and let them know you are the parent, they don’t tell you what to do.

Then parents need to hold there kids accountable and support schools doing this as well. They don’t need excuses and they don’t people to help them find scape goats. When they do wrong they need to face consequences.

Lastly, schools need more support one way or the other whether it’s more police officers, teachers or administrators carrying, and/or metal detectors.

Schools are chosen because they are easy targets. There is a lot of movement in schools in regard to the transportation of students and staff. The more movement there is the greater the opportunity there is to gain access if you are an active shooter.

Well...we can start making the areas that hold our children for the majority of their young lives the softest targets in the world.

Can't fix it without fixing humans. So, it's not going to happen.

Huh? I don't think so. Too many Republicans think that personal responsibility applies to crazy people as it does to the general population. Personal responsibility from a crazy person's perspective, of course, can include violence against others. It makes perfect sense to them.

I don't see a recognition of mental illness as a national problem from Republicans. It would be great if they did, but I just can't see a Republican-controlled government laying out the money it would take to re-establish an effective mental health program in this country. The best we can hope for from them, I think, is an attempt to screen out crazy people from buying firearms. I can't see that being an effective solution because there are so many ways to acquire firearms in the U.S.

There is no mass shooting issue. And not every problem is going to have a solution. Especially when it involves a multi faceted system of checks and balances. The kid, the parents, the school, law enforcement, etc. are all at fault in this particular incident but all it really takes is one of those to fail. Too much margin for error to effectively regulate. The “issue” is as old as time - there are shitty people in this world who do shitty things and that’s all there is to it. You can’t stop everything. You can’t solve EVERY problem.

We probably don't. They're terrible and I wish they never happened, but they're extemely rare, likely much rarer than the emotional reaction and coverage leads us to believe (Availability Heuristic).

We don't raise kids properly anymore. The left has managed to fully implement their self esteem is the most important thing agenda, all people are victims of something, everything is a micro-aggression, and don't ever let go of your grievances - you've been wronged by the man and it is not your fault. This has created kids who don't know how to deal with real world problems and resolve interpersonal conflicts.

This problem won't go away with gun control and it won't go away as long as the left controls culture. A return to personal responsibility, a return to faith, and good old fashioned morals is needed. Culture is the problem and the left will never understand that.

3rd world type prisons.

Extremely violent punishment for violent crimes.

Legal and criminal consequences for parents of these deranged and obviously undisciplined kids.

Fingerprint access gunsafe in every classroom

Firearm training for all teachers that wish to receive it.

Start hurting feelings and weed out the bad kids in the bunch. Growing up, all the kids, parents and teachers knew who the bad kids were. What changed?

They have to let god back into the schools, but the left would rather them be shot up than doing that, so here we are....
