How can you expect people to gaf that some aid hit his wife and got fired when for 20 years you've been telling us that it's OK to use the oval office as a smush room?

The truth about why he was allowed to work there and have access to such sensitive information while under the elevated threat of blackmail.

Who else is currently there under similar circumstances.

A few comments. First, I am not a leftist - right leaning independent to be direct with you. Second, concealing wife beating is not a right or left issue even it seems like it is for you it is (are you a wife beater?), Third, security clearance is not a left or right issue, and should concern all Americans that this WH (and other Administrations) don't disregard it's value as they did with Porter and are doing with Kushner.

Oh good, this story can drag out for another week now at least.

And at the end of it? Dude is still fired. And life goes on.

Round and round we go

Who was attempting to blackmail him?

You.

He stated clearly the exchange between the WH and FBI:

1- had a partial in march
2- full in late july
3- The WH followed up with inquiry
4- That inquiry was answer in late Nov.
5- WH got more information and went to him in Jan...

Now he is gone.

No issue but with you.

What does him allegedly beating his wife (and many years prior to being hired) have to do with this ability to effectively work as a White House aide?

Allegedly hitting a women doesn’t really concern me about his ability to handle classified info.

The dude got fired when his past came back to bite him, I just don’t see why this is some huge scandal/issue/matter. It got resolved. His ex wives can take up the actual legal part of the case from here

The left's lame attempt at making every misstep into Watergate is getting old and will derail legitimate scandals later on down the road.

Preach

The right is falling into this trap too in some ways as well (it’s just limited to Fox and the bloggesphere).

Shows how shitty the media is these days at actually covering stories and scandals, though

Using your stature to coerce a very young female employee into sex is, at best, sexual harassment and at worst, sexual abuse. It's also adultery, desecration of the oval office, and a black eye on American history.

Clinton not only remained president, he went on to make millions giving speeches, and was a driving force behind his wife's presidential bid. To this day, wjc is revered by liberals.

Porter was fired and disgraced. Yeah, you're right. It's not a good comparison.

The issue is not his spouse but whether he had access to classified information.

So, it sounds like the WH was taking the allegations seriously and were trying to get the complete picture before deciding what to do with him. This is a problem, why?
