Look I'm butthurt he went to Bama but you'd think after being recruited by LSU for the last 3 years, he'd have a little more respect for Coach O/staff. Why wait until 11:00pm the night before to let Coach O know he's not coming? Was it so he could have his big moment on ESPN?
That's a dick move by a top notch prospect; in return because of time consideration, it cost us a 2nd tier player as a result. At least when we lost Dylan Moses to Bama, he gave us time to recruit someone else in his absence.

You gotta think Corey Raymond is pissed the most.

All that time and effort for shite.
God forbid surtain end up like mills, Peterson, Claiborne, Adams or Matthieu.

Dude sucks for what he did.
Yeah I'm butthurt.

Playing devils advocate, what makes you think that he knew what university he was gonna go to until last night? Maybe he was absolutely undecided until the last minute.

I'm sure Surtain was worried that it cost us Goodrich.

You ever think they knew he was wavering the entire time but hadn't made up his mind? I find it very difficult to believe that they were blindsided by this.

This was poor planning on O's part. He should've taken fewer in December and been prepared to take both Goodrich and Surtain.

He's a groupie, Jarvis Landry pegged him correctly.

O's mistake is trusting him and his family. Hindsight, he should have accepted Goodrich and Let the groupie go.

Chase and Marshal are good enough to beat the groupie.

Why do you assume he knew where he was going at that time?

Yes you are butt hurt over a kid choosing what was best for him. Maybe he didn't know and was torn about his decision? Surtain doesn't owe you or LSU a damn thing.

If I'm LSU's offensive coordinator I'm running screens to his side of the field as much as I can and I'm going to have the biggest meanest TE flip his s*** every play. He is going to not want to play football by the second quarter.

Definitely an immature, dick move by Surtain, Jr. He called Orgeron at 11:00pm Tuesday night. I have lost all respect for him and his father (who will likely be working for Saban at some point). To hell with both of those pos for what they did. Surtain, Jr. could have let LSU know at least a week before, because he knew after his Alabama vist that he wasn't coming here. The Surtains are apparently selfish a-holes. Screw 'em.

It's just a very low class move. In life, rationalizations are ALWAYS going to temp you to low class moves. Surtain is textbook. Karma is a mutha. After he basks im crims glory, i hope he loses sleep, and hope we put our fastest biggest target on his side of the field and burn his arse in Tiger Stadium this fall.

His father seemed to be very involved in the processed. We are all assuming the father is more mature than the son.

It's the kid's decision. He's not being paid millions of dollars a year, the coaches are. If O can't manage to have contingency plans in place like other coaches do, then that's his fault.

No O cost us another player. Goodrich committed to Clemson on Monday.

Worst part was his quoted reason..something to the effect of they win championships.....well, ok, if that was your factor in who you choose, then LSU was out from jump because last time I checked, Bama won the last title.

So fricking say that a month ago so a school like LSU can adjust.

Show fricking respect.

Let the kid go to college where he wants, it his life to live. HE doesnt owe coach o or us anything. He is talented worked hard and earned a scholarship from any school in the country. He picked to go play for Bama, end of story.

Why? Leave the kid alone. He did what he thought was best for him and probably is.
You give me the option of playing for Saban, fisher, Mullen, meyer, or about 70 other coaches instead of O, and I’ll make the same choice any day.

Surtain was a douche for sure. But you DO NOT turn away a guy like Goodrich.

I'm not sure what day it was, but whenever that "don't worry about hurting anyone's feelings" quote from the father was made, that was about as close to saying "we're going to Bama" as you can get without actually saying it.

At that point (really earlier, but definitely at that point), we should have officially gone all out for Goodrich/Washington or whoever else was option #2.

This is why I think you lock up the state FIRST, and then recruit outwards to fill needs or for that generationally great player.
