A great example why anything more than a glance when following recruiting is useless.

at this point it's hard for me to believe that saban isn't just telling them to trick us

It's never even as simple as losing these guys at the end. It always ends up with LSU losing them to Bama and missing out on other recruits because of it. It's a triple whammy.

When it comes down to Saban vs. 0 in literally anything, I don't know how anyone in their right mind could put money on 0 coming out on top.

I told a few ppl on Friday that Surtain would go to Bama. They laughed at me. But what did it for me was a interview that Sr. did with Hanigriff on friday. He gave a list of things they were looking for.
The first one was stability of coaching staff. That told me everything I needed to know.

I just want to know when raymond left LSU, cuz I always heard surtain would be "furburin" his education at LSU as long as we had raymond.

Recruiting is worthless until the fax comes in.

Yep. It reminds me of Tony Brown. In comes saban at the 24th hour and does his damage. The good news is that it doesn't happen that often with DB"s. I stopped counting my chickens after the 5/5 fiasco and I'm glad. I think lots on the board will learn to temper their expectations after this

That's why I'm a big believer in locking down the state FIRST...I'm not saying don't recruit Surtain, but to let Corione Harris get away, miss on Surtain, and then probably too late to get in with Eddie Smith...

That hurts.
