I plan to enjoy it, just that I would like for it to happen first....
I like WW and like the feel of the team;however, it concerns me (not sure that Wade can do anything abut this) that this guys need to be handled like Jr High ...
They need to grow up and out of it and be self motivated, or the "motivational gimmicks" will mean less and less.

it is not the gimmick I am concerned with....
external motivation becomes harder and harder to obtain as time goes by, they need to be self motivated to get to the top.
hopefully this will get them started

I just like a coach that is willing to change things up..try anything and everything. There is so much more to coaching than Xs and Os ...you really have to be a psychologist...knowing how far you can push your players and when to back off....having to play both good cop and bad cop. We have a really good one I believe...time will tell.

I hear you and agree. I look at it as establishing a culture and trying to instill a mindset. As his recruits get in I think you'll see a different type of player.

I don't disagree but Herman will be successful. To say his motivational tactics are gimmicky is ignorant. He's overhyped yes, but he's a hell of a lot better than Orgeron. Not sure why people feel the need to prop up Orgeron by trying to put down other coaches. I guess that should tell us all we need to know about Orgerons lack of success to stand on.
Anyway, the only reason I even referenced it is bc someone earlier in the thread compared Wade's motivational tactics to those of Herman.
I really don't give a shite about Orgeron and certainly think Wade is a superstar in the making. Just bc the wins aren't coming this year doesn't make it less accurate. The inability of some to understand the context and big picture is astounding. Certainly not a ringing endorsement of Louisiana's educational system.

In response to the comparison of Wade to Herman. Taking shots at other football coaches is a staple of some on here so yes I compared the two to highlight how ridiculous the original comparison was.
Wade holding his team accountable and trying to build a culture isn't something worthy of criticism. It's the mark of a good coach. Some coaches do it. Others don't and it shows.

Nah I just think it's a superficial way to take a shot at Herman bc our admin acted like cowards.

Chill the fuch out. They're college kids. Ya'll act like they should eat, breathe and sleep basketball and that's all they should ever do. A lot of these guys are in the process of growing up.
How mature were you in college? Did you ever get drunk when you weren't suppose to? Did you ever skip class?
