Bad Boy Buggies

What is a good price for a 2012 bad boy buggy? I might have the option of buying one from someone I know. Looks to be in good shape except that it still has original batteries, so I looks like I might have to purchase new ones. The back has the seat/flatbed. Mainly use for it for around the house, neighborhood and moderate hunting.

Go into to this deal knowing you will need to drop 1K for new batteries in the near future and you will be fine. If you buy it thinking you will not need new batteries you will be pissed when the time comes.

I thought they had a reputation of breaking and costing an arm and a leg to repair

I can't say that I have ever owned one or used one, but all I have read on various outdoor sites, I'd take a hard pass.

Seller should pay you to take it

For that much, you could get a newer used golf cart and build it out the way you want it. Plus.
Sounds like your use doesn't really require 4wd, so no loss there. Easy to get parts for and much lighter.

i have a 2009 bad boy buddy. paid $3500 for it 3 years ago and its the best investment for hunting i have made. It's a beast. I keep the battery's in good shape and keep it covered at my camp. I don't know about the reputation for breaking down because i haven't had the first problem with mine.

Stepdad has one and I wouldn’t own one. It hasn’t broken down or anything but the batteries suck and he even just replaced them. I think hard about where your using it. Big part of his problem is we hunt the MS delta and that delta mud pulls so bad it it just drains the batteries. If your hunting solid ground woods it may not be as bad. Either way I don’t want to have to worry about that and would not buy electric.
