Every other day or so, somebody thinks he's starting an exciting topic for discussion by taking a crap on some Louisiana city or town. That generates discussion about other cities or towns that need to be crapped on, too.
About every week, some other person starts a topic on how north Louisiana "isn't part" of Louisiana.
Everyone of you who do this are consummate jerks. Everyone of you who have to cite other nominees in response to these topics are also jerks.
I wish I could tell what I really think about you.

It was great to grow up in Alexandria. My friends who stayed or went back have amazing places and lives. With a bunch of friends and a bunch of money Alexandria is very nice.

This crap again? We just did this thread a few weeks ago... and another a few weeks before that.

I think you'd have to establish a list of "cities" in the state before the question can be answered. Over half the responses here are listing places that are undoubtedly worse, but that are not considered "cities".

You ever been to Bridge City on the West Bank? That is the epitome of a shite hole.

Y'all do realize that Lake Charles is technically part of Louisiana right? So bad nobody even thinks of it.
Shreveport/Bossier is equivalent to Baton Rouge with less traffic and dying.

Nope that would be Lafayette! Baton Rouge is pretty bad too! Alexandria is a shining gem compared to those two shitholes!

The worst thing about Alex is that there is absolutely nothing to draw young professionals. No attractions, pretty much no nightlife/dating scene, no real job market, LSUA is a joke, etc.
It may be a decent place to raise a family if you have money but that describes just about anywhere. Lack of young professionals and skilled jobs leaves the population about 20% well off old/middle age families and 80% low educated trash
Picture Monroe without ULM’s pharmacy program or Centurylink.
