Americans are turning on anti-Trump celebrities, according to SOTU stats

Reading that, if we didn't already know pretty much what Rex looks and sounds like, I'd swear he was George Takei.
The tide is turning patriots. People are getting sick of the celebrity wackos.

The stats don't lie. Within minutes of President Donald Trump's first State of the Union speech, CBS News revealed their YouGov poll approval ratings on it. Unsurprisingly, 97% of Republican speech watchers liked it. More surprisingly, 72% of Independents liked it. Staggeringly, 43% of Democrats liked it.
quote:
Overall, CBS reported that 75% of Americans approved of the speech. For such a seriously divisive and polarising President, who is currently languishing with just 39% personal approval ratings, these were sensationally good results. Interestingly, 8/10 Americans in the poll felt the President was trying to unite the country with his speech and two thirds of Americans said it made them feel proud. Less than a quarter that watched said it made them feel scared or angry.
quote:
Contrast this reaction with the instant and so tediously predictable blind rage spewed by the world's liberal celebrities on social media before, during and after the address. From my own unofficial poll – i.e. my own eyes on Twitter – I'd say 99% of them were so furious at the speech they could barely think straight. 'I was told darkness could not exist in the light,' tweeted Sarah Silverman. 'But here it is, for everyone to not see.' Jim Carrey tweeted an illustration of sharks across a map of America, then another of a weeping Abraham Lincoln and the caption: 'It's my party and I'll cry if I want to.'
quote:
Andy Lassner, producer of the insufferably smug The Ellen Show sneered: 'Good luck 'Saturday Night Live' on trying to make this any more f***ing ridiculous than it already is.' Jeffrey Wright raged: 'Can't even watch this vile, deceitful fraud and his bizarre cult of self-interested sycophants.' Patton Oswalt seethed: 'I'm gonna fact check this speech: whatever he just said was bullsh*t.' Jessica Chastain urged people not to watch the speech at all. Billy Eichner fumed: 'The President is a lying, incompetent, racist, misogynist sack of sh*t.' And George Takei spouted: 'I'm not watching some frothing orange gorilla read off a teleprompter.' On and on it went, with these stars and many more assuming America agreed with them. But it turned out the vast majority of Americans DIDN'T agree with them, which suggests they're no longer listening to what celebrities say about politics or Donald Trump.
Reading that, if we didn't already know pretty much what Rex looks and sounds like, I'd swear he was George Takei.
quote:
For more evidence of this, look at Sunday night's Grammys that turned into a marathon political rally of epically dreary proportions. Ratings duly plunged 24% to an all-time low. Why? Because Americans are sick and tired of entertainers preaching about politics at awards shows, particularly when they're all preaching from the same liberal Trump-loathing handbook. It's hard not to agree with White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders when she said yesterday: 'I think if Americans cared what celebrities thought then Hillary would be president but they clearly don't.' She added: 'Frankly, I feel sorry for these people. They're so focused on hating this president that they're missing all of the great things that are happening in this country.'
The tide is turning patriots. People are getting sick of the celebrity wackos.

Leftist celebrities 2008-2016: Regardless of your political beliefs, we should all agree that the office of the President should be respected.

At first, Jim Carrey talking out of his arse was funny, now it's just annoying.

It really is astounding how much these people are so like those "elite" characters in the Hunger Games movies.

What's amazing is that so many of these people were dying to rub elbows with the man when he wasn't President. Tons of them got to because they went on The Apprentice. And with the exception of only a few (Arsenio Hall, off he top of my head), they all have nothing but really nice things to say about him. Check out left-wing nut Piers Morgan and how complementary he is of Trump.

I wouldn't put PM that far out there. Aside from his guns stance (which is explainable since the 2A was put in to kick his country's arse, partially), he really has no time for much of the liberal drivel. I'd put him slightly left of Dave Rubin, but not a wing-nut.

FWIW, Patton Oswald was trolling. He's got a coat.

Fair enough. But he was left enough to get Larry King's spot on CNN for a few years.

If this limp wristed turd thinks President Trump is a gorilla, I can only imagine what he thinks obama is along the lines of primates.

Um, no.
The 2A came well after we sent the British packing. It was central to the Bill of Rights, to give teeth to all the other rights found there, not "put in", and to assure that Americans could never be forced to bow down to any government, foreign or domestic.

Actually, a pretty good article.
I watch and/or purchase very little of their work product. The level of indignation amongst the Hollywood and entertainment clique is ridiculous. Overpaid, spoiled, pampered and completely out of touch.

That's a great line. Democrats: It's my party and I'll cry if I want, cry if I want to, cry if I want. You'd cry too if it happened to you.......

I misspoke. It was put there at least partially AS A RESULT of past British issues, not to deal with future issues with the British.
Better?

Point is, these people keep making asses of themselves. It's been difficult to watch Tom Cruise movies over the years knowing how batshit insane he is IRL. Now, all these people are coming in and inserting themselves.
I just started watching WACO on TV last week. It's got Michael Shannon in it and all I can think of is what he said right after the election last year. He said that for Trump Supporters, "it's their time to die".
LINK
Watching Avengers Infinity War might as well be SJW war.
It'll be interesting to see how hard these guys try to outdo themselves at the Oscars. I won't be watching, but I'll check the aftermath the next day.

Being serious here... is there a way we can push harder for California to split into the two states they've rambled about for quite some time? The Hollywood fricktard state consisting of the central to southwest coast, and the more rational "rest of the state"?
Most of my family has permanently left California but the few that remain are living quiet, successful conservative lives in the beautiful valleys between the Sierra and White mountain ranges. And those family members are ashamed and embarrassed to always be associated with the unhinged and radicalized socialist leftists of SoCal.
Ever been to California outside of the San Diego to San Francisco stretch? That is, unfortunately, the stretch I spent my childhood years growing up in. And I don't miss it. I can't fathom how anyone could. The rest of the state, however, has barely changed in the 25 years since I left there. Just visited the Independence, Bishop and Mammoth Lakes areas again last summer and it's still as peaceful, friendly, conservative and beautiful as it has ever been.
Can we just liberate the good people left in the state by pushing for, and going through with a civilized split up? It would be interesting to me, to see the dims reactions when the politically sane part of their populous is freed from the indentured servitude of the Hollywood and Silicon Valley elite whack jobs. Plus, it's more electoral votes for the good guys.
TL;DR = Hollywood socialist dims and their sheep herds are ruining more than just their overpopulated and pollution piece of the state.

The 2nd Amendment was rooted in English history.
We were afraid of repeating the mistakes of our forefathers, and we wanted to prevent the creation of a standing army that could be used against the people, as English kings had done in the past.
So the 2nd amendment served two purposes. An armed populace would protect us from the state, but also external enemies.

Stop financially supporting Hollywood.
Even if going to the movies was one of your favorite things to do. They hate you and everything you stand for.
