absolutely false. Catholicism is a perverted, ritualistic denomination of Christianity. Catholics believe in various methods of paying for sins; Jesus clearly established that he is the only method of payment for sins.

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Peter founded the Catholic Church...

And it only took 300 years for him to do so.

How about quoting the previous verse as well.

It’s not that clearcut. There are 4 major theories on the origins of modern baptists. You linked one. There is another starting they stemmed from Anabaptists and have always existed in some form.

And Jesus called him a stumbling block because he wouldn't become a baptist like Jesus

First, Gates were defensive mechanisms in those days.

Second, There was a “rock” of the pagan gods located in caesarea philippi next to an actual location called the “gates of hell” seen below:

Jesus was taking them to the center of pagan worship and commanding them to reclaim that which was lost by storming the gates of hell, conquering it, and building the church on it.

Instead, we’ve isolated ourselves in our mansions and judge one another.

Prosperity gospel has nothing to do with the kingdom of God.

It’s exactly the opposite.

God wants to bless me SO THAT I can be a blessing to others. If I hold on to my wealth (or spend it on me) then it does not further His kingdom. God wants to reach everyone and He wants me to be a part of it.

But only if I put His needs first.

My “stuff” like a jumbo jet or Rolex does not fit in that equasion.

Or five verses later when he says get behind me Satan, and calls Peter a stumbling block

This guy is just asking a question that Ray Stevens asked via song 30+ years ago in his immortal “Would Jesus Wear a Rolex on His Television Show?”

Obvious answer is obvious: No

Peter was a Jew who believed Jesus was the Messiah and aimed to make Jewish converts who believed the same.

Early “Christianity” and Judaism were one and the same for almost 100 years. They worshiped together and the majority of the issues in the epistles dealt with grafting in gentiles into the faith and teaching Jews the true yoke of Christ. Peter had nothing to do with Catholicism.

Catholicism is Christianity. The good ole Protestants followed martin Luther who told them all go kill thousands of people, Jesus still loves ya! It was cool to be able to do what you want if it makes them feel good. And if it doesn't, just go start a new denomination. No matter how far back you go, it's roots are in Catholicism.

Glad I am on the right side. It's also hilarious to me that Protestants are so scared of Catholics and love to make fun of them with snide remarks. Guess when you're wrong, all you can do is cast stones to the top.
