Um no. That is the very point. I AM comparing pit bulls to tigers.
Tigers do not make good pets for most people, because although their dangerousness can be mitigated with proper training and good handling, the danger is always present.
It’s just an unacceptable risk for the owners, and more for their family members, and mostly for the public in general.
All of that is the same for tigers AND pit bulls.

Hopefully the update will only be on a stitch count and not a: " In lieu of flowers.." notification.

What I don't get is why nobody's talking about the alarming rate of pit on pit crime.

You're an idiot for thinking pits aren't great pets. That's just being naive.

You like calling other people idiots. You should stop being so emotional.
It is a reasonable discussion for a society to engage in as to which animals make suitable pets and which pose special dangers that should be considered.
To cut to the chase, there are at least two aspects to discuss when considering the dangerousness of dog breeds:
1) frequency, or likelihood, of a breed to attack
2) seriousness of the typical attack
You can argue that pit bulls don’t attack with any more frequency than other other breeds, and that may or may not be true.
But it is also true that pit bulls are more aggressive when they attack, and because of their breeding, often seriously maim or kill people when they do attack.
I agree that there is too much reliance on anecdotes, to bolster both narratives of viciousness and friendliness of pit bulls. I would support scientific research to be conducted that is non-partisan on the issue.
Having said that, as for myself, I will err on the side of caution, and I will continue to avoid pit bulls as much as possible.

That dog is looking at that kid like I look a 32oz bone in ribeye

So when a pit doesn’t kill someone it makes the news.
Imagine what that dog would’ve done to another poor kid that invaded the space of the little girl.

So when a pit doesn’t kill someone it makes the news.
It hardly ever makes the news when pitbulls have great stories because it's such a natural thing for a pit to do great things. Like the thousands of them that have saved their owners.
However, any time a pit so much as farts in a public place and it stinks, it'll make the news because of the false narrative that fake news is trying to push that all pits are bad.

There is no false narrative. The narrative is backed by pure statistics.
Which dog is responsible for the most deaths each year?
Which dog is responsible for the most severe injuries from dog attacks?
It's based purely on facts and statistics.
Your dog is trash. And you are trash.

My Lab is not a biter and had never bit anyone until.......... He always barked and rushed up to a person and wagged the old tail and wanted to be petted. Then, one day at 7 yrs old he did the usual routine and the neighbor’s friend stuck his hand out to pet and wham, teeth clamped on his hand and then his leg. Right after, he nipped the mailman.
Now I tell people he bites. He also now wears a shock collar to keep him 20 feet from any edge of my yard.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconbanghead.gif)

This whole thread is based around you acting like a big ole baby back bitch because you're offended people don't like pitbulls.
