He was the #4 pro style QB in 2016, and redshirted his first year at FSU then went JUCO this past season. Jimbo's QB pick in 2016.

He will have 3 to play 3.

Do not want. I believe he was a trouble maker in high school, got kicked out of IMG if I remember correctly.

Were in no position to turn down a QB. Look at Cam Newton. He was given a second chance and led his team to a N.C.

Stats are very underwhelming. 54% 10 TD's 8 INT, 138 YPG. Never had more than 10 rush yards in a game.

Aren't you a creative one? Think of this all by yourself?

Damn, would love to get him here. Remember seeing him in their spring game when he was a true freshman (15-22 205 2 TDs). He matched the play of Francois who went on to throw for 3300 yards and 20 TDs (200 yards 5 TDs on the ground), as a redshirt freshman.

If I remember right, he was once rated as the top QB in his class during his junior or senior year. I had forgotten all about him going JUCO.

He needs to gain 30 plus lbs, L$u already has a light weight qb.. Myles Brennan. Have you been paying attention?

We would have to bump someone to have room to take him. Would you take him over Surtain, Joseph, Foster or Goodrich?

Wrong, He's not an initial counter, he is a transfer.

The version of the rules being circulated as a result of the Dandy Don's interview is just plain wrong. Its scary that came from LSU compliance.

In a new pass happy offense as a #3 depth QB ?

If it allows LSU to sign 2 CBs and skip an initial counter QB ....

When you have to rely on the exception rather than the rule to support your position, you've already lost. Elite play with a QB who got kicked off their last team is almost nonexistent.

No, YOU and LSU compliance don't know how to read.

I read the rules. I've practiced law for 27 years, I think I can comprehend an NCAA rule - even if it is poorly written.

But you go ahead, believe what you want. I believe what I read.

No, you guys don't understand. Those were his stats in 10 games at Juco last year.

ETA: For comparison, Mett threw for 2700 yards, 32 TD's and 4 INT's in his Juco stint. This guy's stats are putrid.

I'm gonna try this one more time. While there is a lot of overlap, an initial counter and a signer are not equivalent. There are different rules for both. Both are limited to 25 max. A signer is anyone who signs a promise of or an award of a scholarship and they count as soon as they sign and it is accepted. Even if they never show up and attend class, they still count towards the 25 signer limit (with a few exceptions and they ain't the ones you list).

Given that you know all about the initial counter exceptions, it should be clear to you that there are more signers than initial counters. This means that the signer limit will always control the max number you can sign. It's sort of like the alternative min tax; doesn't matter how many deductions you have, you owe the min.

BTW: I wouldn't mention your practice by name if this is the quality of your work.

They don't have 3 caps. It serves no purpose. Signors = initial counters.

I'm not gonna get into the argument of how the rule works exactly because it seems no one knows for sure(even the LSU compliance guy). I will say for sure why he would count, he's not an early enrollee so no way he can count back(I know we don't have spots to count back, this is just in theory) therefore as a JC guy he is counted again regardless and only as early enrollee would he be eligible to count against a prior class. Jucos have always counted as initial counters. The beauty of jucos, for this part of the equation, are that many enroll early and count back. USC averted the worst outcome of their penalties in part because of this.
