We do every year. TAMU by definition IS a military school and LSU isn’t far from it either.
“Texas A&M is one of six United States Senior Military Colleges. The schools' Corps of Cadets (or the Corps) is one of the largest uniformed student bodies outside the service academies.”

It’s an hour from Denver and gorgeous in the fall. You’re right though. Let’s go play in reliant in Houston again.

Our past players preferred just ganging up and beating military members in Baton Rouge bars.

Your post was freaking spot on...In my career, there were very few “Academy” officers that were tolerable. That’s a bitter pill for most civilians to swallow but it’s the truth.

Every time I speak negatively of them, civilians think I am shitting on bald eagle or something

Alleva is going to schedule pretty much any game with a team that isn't a cupcake in Dallas, Houston or Atlanta. TV money, da. Season ticket holders, nyet!

Would be a big fan of this. LSU (for obvious reasons) and the vast majority of our fans/alums have huge respect for the military. It'd be cool to see something pregame honoring the military etc

Or how about we play in Tiger Stadium. LSU should never travel to a school like that

Notre Dame plays Navy every year as an "thank you" for the Navy using the ND campus as a major officer training during World War II. It's the longest running intersectional rivalry in the country.

My oldest son was born in Baton Rouge and graduated last year from the Air Force Academy and played all four years football. He is one hell a young officer now. So general negative statements about those guys and the work they put in is extremely short sided! That said, hell no LSU should never agree to play them there as beautiful as the base is. They could easily lose that game trying to defend that flex/triple option attack.

And frick Bama!!!

Congrats to your son Kirby. Proud Dad moment for you when he graduated!

I have worked with, for and over Officers from all 3 commissioning sources in the Army and I have not had any real issues from any of them. My favorite is OCS of course because those guys tend to bring a wealth of experience from the enlisted side of the house that you don't get at West Point or ROTC.

I selfishly would love home and home's but it makes no sense financially for LSU. We could always add the service schools to our basketball schedule though.

Go Army! Beat Navy!

Why the hell do we play teams like S. Alabama and Troy and pump money into that state instead of playing a military school. I personally would love to do a home and home with Air Force and take a trip to Colorado Springs.

I live in Colorado Springs. It would be awesome to have an SEC team come and play AFA. Notre Dame came here a couple of years ago and the town was abuzz. But like everyone here has said, it probably would never happen.

Why would we want to play a game at altitude? LSU Basketball teams have always struggled anytime we play at altitude why subject the football team to it against a team that has no business hosting an SEC school?
