Ain't that right. So frustrating watching the big girls attempt a shot with 2 defenders with the ball waist high and continually get tied up. Finally had some calls go the girls way in the 4th. Don't know what the future holds for girls basketball but things need to improve or it will be starting all over again. Couple weeks left for real excitment.

Tntigerman, you hit the nail on the head with the title IX. I was an above average (male) high school basketball player in the late 80's,(not good enough for college). We had a girl's player that EVERYBODY IN THE COUNTRY recruited. I saw pat summit, leon barmore, teresa vanderveer, marianne stanley visiting our school, anybody and everybody was begging this chick to come play for them.
I would play her one on one at least once a week at school, and always destroyed her. From then on, I knew girls hoops was an absolute joke.

I don't think Jackson can do this every night, its absurd

It was her 10th 20+ point game of the year. Moncrief has had a bad last 3 games. She needs to get rolling again. And this team is actually decent when Mitchell plays well.

Are you serious? You compared yourself to a HS girls basketball player and because you were better, girls basketball is a joke? What are you.................12 years old?

nothing is funnier than the 8 fans who have an ounce of faith in Fargas try to gloat about her dumbass getting a decent win here and there

When I look over and see Mississippi State is a top 10 program now, I surely sit back and wonder if Fargas has the self awareness to know she has been a colossal failure

Yeah DIPSHIT I graduated high school 30 years ago and i'm 12 now. For your dumb arse, I will try to explain again. Me, an ABSOLUTE NON FACTOR in any basketball recruiting circle, beat THE shite out of the Javonte Smart of girls basketball REPEATEDLY. At that point, a thought struck me. Maybe, just maybe this girl's basketball is a tad overrated. Maybe not though.

If you want to bash women's sports, so be it. But who cares if a male is far better in a particular sport than a female? What is the point of the comparison? Males can no doubt hit a softball further than females. Males can no doubt kick a soccer ball harder than females. Men can no doubt serve and spike a volleyball harder than females. And I am sure men can swim faster than females. So who cares if you can beat a really good female basketball player 1-on-1? What does it matter?

I was agreeing with the poster that said it is like 8th grade ball, and giving an anecdote to back it up. In my youth, I could play well at your avg pickup game, but was not good enough for the college level. The way I used to beat her like a drum, and then watch these "legends" BEG her to come play for them opened my eyes to how CRAPPY girl's hoops is. Nothing more and nothing less than that.

Your analysis is just dumb..............that's why we have to assume you're a child. If you didn't notice, men are bigger, stronger, and faster than women are. So, for a HS boy basketball player in 12th or 11th grade, to play a HS girl basketball player in 12th or 11th grade, is going to be a mismatch. It's better that you say you just don't like women's basketball, than to hold up a dumb "comparison" to prove your point.

The same can be said that if you ran Usain Bolt against the fastest women sprinter, and she lost to him, your opinion would be that women's track is "crappy".

Men compete against men, and women compete against women. That's the comparison. Not if some random HS boy can beat a HS girl in basketball.
