He has a few jokes about an encounter in Lafayette.

It’s funny. If it was a joke about Gulfport, we’d all be laughing about it.

I mean he’s just playing up the same stereotype that they have been capitalizing on themselves. Gator people, swamp people, duck people etc

Perhaps someone should write him a nasty letter like they did for ESPN

Easy Tiger......I’m not offended by it. For the record I chuckled.

Not offended, but it wasn’t very funny. It started off decent, but then it just turned meh.

Just came across as mean spirited

ETA: do find if funny that if you replaced the words Cajun and cracker with several other words and made the same joke, he’d be destroyed by the media

Tom is one of the top 3 comedians working right now. I really liked the special. “There’s nothing better than killing the enemy” still has me laughing when I hear it. If you can’t take that joke then you are a pussy.

It’s not near as offensive as Tosh’s show in New Orleans: “frick the Saints. I am not going to pander to the audience just because god gave y’all a much needed bath”

For the record both are hilarious

I almost made this thread, we're about 45 min in currently . I thought the bit was funny enough, right after I moved down here I tried talking with an older cajun man from somewhere around Laffy area and could not understand a word he was saying. My experience was similar to his...

I'm a full blooded Cajun and I think it's pretty funny.

I was amused, but yeah, went a little too far.

I get the language, accent, and culture shock. I didn’t understand what pushed him over the edge with the absolute hatred of the people and state. Was there more to the bit? I only saw the short clips attached to the article.

He's a comedian. They exaggerate. Exaggeration is a big part of good humor.

The only part I found strange and less than humorous was the forced cracker comments. Cracker doesn't apply to a coonass anymore than it does to a white guy from Cincinnati.

I mean I'm not offended, but I'm not watching any more of his shite. Have watched everything he has put out.

But that was a pretty deliberate frick you to LA. He obviously has a legit problem with us. So frick him.

Dude, he’s a comedian. He’s joking.

But to be fair we do it to ourselves with these audacious tv shows about La. Every time I see Uncle Si, Troy Landry or Clay Higgins’ retarded arse on TV it makes me want to punch babies.
