Just got off the roads it’s fine out there now compared to just a few hours early. Just be careful but it’s not to bad now

That should get you there. Surface roads starting to thaw now. Take it slow and easy

Sounds good. I'll give myself plenty of time, and take it slow.

I know 2 different people who were to have colonoscopies today and had them postponed by the doctor. They went through the whole pre-routine, all for naught. That HAS to suck...

Not only do they have to go through that again they have to buy the $400.00 laxative prep again. That would blow.

If I were a doctor or insurance company, I would be a nice person and waive that fee, given the circumstances...but I know that is not a "real world" reality

It’s amazing some of you even have drivers licenses

I grew up here. Have never needed to travel very far north.

You know how many times I have driven on ice and/or snow? Twice counting today.

It's not unreasonable for people to be asking things like this.

If you’re going to BR Clinic they are closed today. I called this morning to cancel an appointment and got a voicemail that said they were closed today because of inclement weather. I called 225-769-4044

https://511la.org

Or
lsp.org

These sites are usually very informative on road conditions.

The wafb app has a good traffic feature too. Or try waze...

I have a doctor's appointment today and need to get from Barringer foreman to kennleworth at highland. I'm thinking about taking old Jefferson to coursey, then Jefferson to Essen, and Perkins to kennleworth. Anyone know if the road conditions for this route is safe/open? Or if there's an alternative route?

He's talking about safest route to avoid crime, yall.

Then you likely quickly learned that driving on icy roads doesn’t require some sort of training. Just drive slow and allow appropriate space, a concept anyone with a license should be able to understand

But if there are people here who have been on those roads today and know where there aren't icy roads, then I think I'd like to know where those roads are so I can avoid the icy ones to make my drive safer and easier.

People are getting stuck in ice on top of Essen at I-12.

Bluebonnet a bust too. (Wreck)

Take Siegen to Perkins.

ETA: I drove on all three in the 11 o’clock hour, eventually going down Siegen.
