What really disgusted me is when the PM was about to do the deed, and got started and they started showing all the leering faces gathered in the pubs and sports bars and work places to watch this happening live. Like as if it was the World Cup or the Super Bowl. Sure there were some who were horrified that this was happening; a few sniffles amongst the laughter and jeering. But mostly peep show faces, fascinated by this whole thing. Sickos, IMO.

As disturbing as it may be, that episode is completely plausible including our societal fascination with trainwreck TV.

I mean, I understand being disturbed... but that’s the whole point. To critique our society’s fascination with the perverse and base. People sit around watching Isis snuff videos and IR cameras of people getting mowed down by machine gun fire.
I mean, Jonathan Swift wasn’t actually proposing eating children. These guys aren’t proposing that politicians screw pigs.
