Democrats support:
-transgender promoting policies (no facts support xx can change to xy)
-DACA recipients “deserve” to stay (the law is explicit and opposed)
-Pelosi says the new tax bill is going to cause people to die and will pull more money out of the middle class
-Islam is completely a religion of “peace”
-women should serve in combat arms because they are equally capable of performing as men (despite facts recorded and basic biology)

Just a few recent and glaring examples of your party of facts being baseless and wrong. I too wish the dem party would take a stand for facts and truth.

As FT put it...

The "right" was to not be discriminated against by not having other states refuse the legality of your marriage license.

Now do concealed carry rights.

By your attitude, I assume you are a staunch supporter of reciprocity laws recognizing the right to carry in any state...right??

Obama only supported gay marriage when he thought he needed the extra votes. He doesn't care about you.

However, the point of the article is to point out the hypocrisy of the supposedly open minded and inclusive left who, it turns out, again and again, is rigidly conformist to a single ideology.

The myth of the "tolerant" left is just that, a myth

Their behavior over the past year and a half speaks for itself.

No, I didn’t claim anything in regards to “intelligent” people voting for Hillary. Plenty of stupid people did too. In fact, I’ve stated that I think 90% of America is massively under informed in regards to voting.

How is this different than the MSM? Journalistic standards and practice. This is an opinion piece...a dubious one at that. If you’ve ever been near politics or journalism, you know that anonymous sources are a must in order to get information. There is a difference between news, and opinion shows. The problem is when opinion shows like Maddow & Hannity masquerade as full on news shows. They can do some good investigative work, but should be viewed under those lenses. That is vastly different than network news and programs like 60 minutes.

This opinion piece is not good. Good opinion pieces place context over another issue with at least some level of established fact. This does not do that. This is his “experiences”, with no context, and no chance for rebuttal because it is so generalized. Like my stupid example saying “bhtiger hates me because I’m a veteran, and that is my experience, so you can’t dispute it”. Except I would say, at least one person I know hates me because I’m a veteran. Another hates me because I have brown hair. All things I can surmise, because I have an opinion, that may not have actual basis in reality.

See this piece for what it is, trash. If you want to use an opinion piece regarding hypocrisy, there are decent ones out there. Particularly, the idea that pro-life Dems would be shoves our of the party. Plenty of high ranking party people have written such pieces, using the examples such as party messaging and platform ON TOP OF their opinion. This creates the context necessary to have good discussion.

But this piece sucks. Take off your Team Trump glasses, and you’ll see that it does. Thinking later, this reads like a high school girl saying “they hate me cause I’m popular and their not”. It’s just so bad.

So is the entire Russian narrative and Trump is a racist.

Because this is an attention seeking piece that adds absolutely nothing to the conversation. It is click bait.

That's typically what people want so people read their works. No one is going to title something "A Brief Anecdotal Treatise on Declaring One's Political Affiliation in Opposition to Other's Expectations." Why? No one would read that due to the crappy title.

quote:

It implies his family was not accepting of his coming out as gay. And no, it doesn’t do a good job of highlighting hypocrisy. It plays to stupid platitudes with no relevant info.

Actually no. That's your idea of what it says coming through.

It only says the coming out as Republican went WORSE (which is an open comparison) than coming out as gay (no indication in title of how well that was accepted).

The piece goes on the say that coming out to their family went well so we have a comparison between coming out as gay (which went well) to coming out as a Republican (which went poorly; especially in comparison to coming out gay).

Maybe you should take off your ideological "Beer Goggles" that tell you the fat, bloated, crazy, leftist ideology is actually an attractive thing to get hitched to, and see it clearly for what it is?

Weird. Because the liberal platform is pretty much built on stories.

The left hates gay Republicans just like they hate black Republicans. They call black Republicans Uncle Toms although IDK if they have a similar term for gay Republicans.

What exactly were the facts?

And these "facts" can be extrapolated to apply to all liberals and conservatives, yes?
